Dr. Rogelio Dioso Bayog, MD

Just like the other woman's experience with Dr. Bayog, he does laugh a lot at inappropriate thing. He's a very nice guy but does not spend the time needed with his patients to discuss certain side effects or possible medication interactions when prescribing new medications to his patients, and getting a hold of him is IMPOSSIBLE. Also, there have been numerous amounts of times where he sends me on my way without all of my scripts, missing writing out at least one or two of them, and me not realizing until after I leave. That's just the tip of the ice burg though. The big problem is, he took me off my clonazapam which is a very physically addictive drug that I was on for nearly 8 years and without weening off of, you get very sick, have seizures, and could actually die, and he didn't even tell me he was doing so. He has the right to, as the doctor, but he also has the legal obligation to let me know as the patient, and to ween me down slowly so I don't get sick or die and he didn't do… either. Just handed me my script like always and sent me on my way, and I didn't realize until I went to fill it at the pharmacy and realized he only gave me 10 pills for the month and that was it. I was sick as a dog and had to find my own pills and ween myself off myself my own way. Then recently, he put me on a new medication for migraines and my bi polar and it is interacting with another medication I'm on, as well as I found out by my OB-GYN that it makes my birth control ineffective. Again, I can not get a hold of him for weeks now and with this new medication, I have to again ween off of or I could have seizures, so I wanted to talk to him about tapering off but have yet to speak to him. At this point, I'm going to be looking for a new psychiatrist. This is too much for me. He either doesn't care, or is too busy for his patients. I need someone that has a little more time for me. I have enough anxiety as it is and this is why I sought out a psychiatrist in the first place, not to add to the anxiety. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for a doctor.

My experience. He wrote me a dangerous psych med for an acute crisis and wasn’t available for follow up after. His answering service was very rude and I have suspicions that he isn’t even getting my messages. My PCP had to manage this crap, as usual. He also laughed at everything I said. I’m there for PTSD. I need to be heard not brushed off. I don’t think he’s the right doctor for me but other reviews seem to really like him. I didn’t hate him but I found myself putting on an act in front of him because I didn’t trust him. That’s something I’m working on not doing with my effective and compassionate talk therapist. Who would never laugh at a patient in crisis who is spilling their guts about their worst trauma. As he is the only psychiatrist I have reached out to who was taking both new patients and my health insurance, I’m stuck.
