Greeted me with a smile. Used his knowledge and expertise to properly diagnosed me and prescribe the right treatment for me.

I saw Dr. Dawkins in the ER after staying at the hospital for alcohol withdrawals the two days prior. Woke up with terrible withdrawals next day, disoriented and distrusted my intuition for more medical help as I had been discharged, so I drank to stay alive. Later that night worked up the courage to go back and was put in Dawkins care. Its simple, I was released too early and needed more treatment. Instead I got a condescending lecture with offensive suggestions "you can find some places will just inject you with drugs!" and at the sign of tears he walked out. I felt even more distrusting of my body and sanity and seeking help is already hard enough in addiction. I felt so so ashamed for asking help. Luckily loved ones intervened the next day and took me to an ER where they saved my life and sent me to another hospital where I have been for the past 4 days, healing physically and mentally. Judgmental, poor judgment, dangerous, lucky to be alive despite him.

He does not keep up with current best practice standards in emergency medicine. Still using guidelines from decades ago. Would never let him treat me or anyone I know.
