Dr. Roger S Badwal, MD

I took my son to this dr. for removal of one impacted tooth.  He convinced my 18 yr old to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed, which was not nec.  I agreed reluctantly.  The day of the procedure, he was disgustingly rude.  We tried to tell him that he was in Antibiotics, didn't care, wanted to be done and out. My son was actually hoping I could stay w/him during the proc. So nasty!  Very nice the time before when he was trying to drum up business from us.  Told us he was in a bad mood, low staff.  Then I went on for months trying to figure out why they didn't get paid for my son's extraction. I enquired from the insurance co. They said that the bill was submitted for 4 impacted teeth, when the office was asked to substantiate the claim with x-rays, the couldn't. Wonder why. The office wrote off a $4k bill. I am sure if it was only an oversight he would have resubmitted the bill and worked with the ins. Co. Very UNSCRUPULOUS. Also having read reviews from other patients, it seems fraud… billing is a norm at the practice.

I am a pt of Dr. Badwal and I don't have anything bad to say about his services.  Just something I witnessed in his waiting room that was  disturbing.  His employees at the front desk are  college students.  So it's not the most professional set up.  Half the time they mess up appts, billing, and msgs.  Anyway few days ago, I had an appt, in the small waiting room there was another pt with her cute 3 yr old.  He was basically minding his own business, busy w/moms phone.  The kids at the front desk started throwing an apple at each other across the waiting room.  Now being busy on my phone, I didn't see what happen, I just heard the baby start crying.  Somehow the apple hit the baby's forehead.  The mom was trying to pacify the baby, suddenly I saw Dr. Badwal come out and get short with the mom.  Nothing was said to the staff. The mom left with her baby.  I did see him for follow up that day, but wont return for my treatment.  I don't respect this Dr.

I have been to Badwals office for a couple of extractions.  While the extractions were ok.  One of them was suppose to be followed by an implant.  When I went for follow up, I asked Dr. Badwal, how long, he smilingly said what's the rush.  I said no rush, just want a time frame.  Next time his "what's the rush" was aggressive.  I couldn't understand his dodging the question.  He started rambling that my dentist didn't tell him about an implant.  I said but I left your office a msg, and he said he didn't know anything about it.  Anyway, this meeting ended poorly with him making sure he pulled my hand really hard saying have yourself a nice day.  Just appeared mentally unstable.  I went back 2 months later only make sure this bonegraft I had (which he said later was not reqiured), was healed.  I planned not to return once that was verified.  Once there from the front office to Badwals behavior, I left so disgusted that I can't express myself.  I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM!

Highly skilled professional, sensitive, explained the Process ...procedure went smoothly. This is the first time I have made comments re any Professional provider.

The pre-estimate I received from the doctor was incorrect when submitted to the insurance company. I agreed to the pre-estimate only to find out after treatment that my bill contained additional charges I had not been made aware of before hand. I offered to work with the doctor and I was assured that it was there mistake and not to worry. Two years later and a new staff they refuse to admit there error. I am writing so no one else has to deal with this doctor. He makes a mistake and expects the patient pay for it.

I went to Badwal for TMJ treatment. His front office was terrible, I waited over an hour every time I saw him including the day of my surgery which they had already moved twice. I woke up in the middle of the procedure, and despite asking Badwal to stop because I could feel everything he was doing, he did not. Since then I have been given three different explanations as to why I was awake, but the story keeps changing to cover up their mistake. He ended up botching the surgery and I am worse off than before I saw him with nerve damage and complete muscle exhaustion at all times. Neither of these risks were ever mentioned to me before the surgery. Please do not go to this doctor.

I am approx. 80 years old and being treated for Diabetes 2 and other heart issues, but overall in pretty good health. I am also a very difficult patient and very nervous. I am very particular and very demanding on excellence and I have had for over 40 years one of the acknowledged best regular dentist's(just retired). My dentist recommended DR. BADWAL . He performed a very difficult oral surgery procedure on me, removing 3 teeth. He was extremely professional, extremely caring and very thorough. To assure what was best for me, he coordinated with my regular dentist and my heart doctor( I take blood thinners) . Also, he went even further to assure my best care, he also coordinated about my medical history with my son who is also a Doctor. He also took specific x-rays etc. to assure the best procedure and results. During surgery he was always asking if I was ok and everyone made me feel very comfortable . His nurse (Rachel) was also very helpful and compassionate. I am 2… days after the surgery and feeling great, like I never had this procedure. I had little or no pain the day of surgery. In closing, the night of the surgery, Dr. Badwal even called me to see how I was doing ? Dr. Badwal is what everyone should be fortunate to get help and what Doctors should strive to be. This is the only way I can say thanks "Thank you so much " Michael OMahony.

Dr. Badwal is awesome! My last wisdom tooth was coming in and I had an infection that had me in a world of pain. He squeezed me in on a Monday, caught the infection right away (something a different dentist I had seen a few days earlier had missed) and took two of my wisdom teeth out that Wednesday. Besides the normal discomfort, I actually felt better after the procedure than I did before and was so grateful that Dr. Badwal could do the procedure so quickly. He and everyone at the office were great.

I think he is probably good at what he does but he was terrible with my 10 year old. She was crying a little because it was a scary procedure and he had no patience for it. He was nasty and got frustrated very easily.
