Uncaring condescending and rude. Changed the potassium numbers on my daughter from 2.4 to 2.8. when I wanted her admitted. I don't trust him at all after the way he treated my daughter.

Dr Collins is an ER physician at Nacogdoches Medical Center. He treated my husband in the ER 2 years ago after my husband returned to the ER (after slight fracture to T12). My husband complained of abdominal pain. Collins told us, almost in a scolding way, that he was admitting my husband for tachycardia. His report said the diagnosis was urinary retention. The differential diagnoses were all emergencies: appendicitis, bowel obstruction, tachycardia, etc. He missed a vital X-ray report saying that ileus (bowel obstuction), which is an emergency. No doctor visited us after we were admitted just after midnight, though we reported to the nurse that my husband was passing bloody stools. The morning nurse noticed the X-ray reporting bowel obstruction, reported the emergency situation to the cardiologist we were referred to. The cardiologist asked a surgeon to stand by while he checked on my husband. The back brace was removed, revealing a swollen abdomen. Despite emergency… surgery to remove the necrotic bowel, sepsis was too far advanced, being ignored for over 12 hours, and my husband died from the sepsis.
