Dr. Roger Alan Coven, MD

I have been going to Dr Coven for over 20 yrs and he has always been there for me to discuss my concerns, his concerns, frank conversations. When he called to tell me about my breast cancer diagnosis he was so kind and caring and made so many great suggestions. And followed up through the process. I can’t thank him enough

My 1st visit was after suffering a miscarriage and still having excessive bleeding. His first question to me was, "So when are you going to have weight loss surgery?" I was dumbfounded and confused, and said, "excuse me???"From that point for the next 15 minutes, he belittled and berated me about my weight, insulting me, also suggesting I must be eating "nothing but ice cream and cake". I was shocked into silence. After his abusive tirade, he then acted as if all was fine, suggesting an ablation to handle the bleeding. He did not do an internal exam on me at all. Didn't suggest an ultrasound, nothing. He said to book something with the front desk if I wanted the ablation and excused himself. I stopped him and told him I wasn't done, and wanted to know why I now had severe pain while using tampons. He said "if it hurts to use them, then just don't use them anymore. What do you want me to tell you??"... and LEFT. REMEMBER - I was there because I'd had A MISCARRIAGE!! AVOID THIS MONSTER… AT ALL COSTS!

Saw Dr. Coven for my very first obgyn visit. Did not have good bedside manners and VIOLATED MY HIPPA! I do not recommend him to anyone!

Saw him for my first ever obgyn exam, he violated my HIPPA! I am now a doctor myself and would not recommend him to anyone! Absolutely no respect for this man.

Dr Coven has been my ob-gyn for a couple of decades now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. He is very thorough and takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns. He is good about providing multiple options in certain situations, allowing the patient to participate in the decision-making process. In addition he is kind and compassionate.

I went to Dr. Coven for my yearly exam. When he opened my gown to check my breasts, he snickered. Then when performing the pap test he caused me pain. He responded that if I had more sex it wouldn't hurt as much. He then prescribed a narcotic sedative for me to take before I came back for another pap test. Of course, I never retuned!

Excellent Doctor- wish I trusted and respected all of my doctors the way I trust dr. Coven. Highly recommend

Amazing doctor- wish there were more like him!

I looked for a gynecologist for a long time as my previous one was too far away in NY. I am so happy I found Dr. Coven and his office. I was comfortable and I felt the doctor gave all the time I needed. I love the system to receive test results as it is efficient and easy to use. I would recommend the doctor to friends.

I felt something was a off with the bedside manner, the doctor was too familiar rather than professionally pleasant. There was a point during the exam that I felt uncomfortable. I switched to a female doctor since this experience.
