Dr. Roger Allen Goebel, MD

This was by far my worst experience with the health care system. Dr. Goeble is loud, obnoxious and arrogant. His bed side manor is better suited for postmortems. Latrobe should kick him to the curb.

I have worked in the medical field, both at the bedside and in management positions, for over 10 years, and I have never experienced a physician as blatantly rude, arrogant, and disrespectful as Dr. Goebel was towards my family and I. My personal experience with him was as the family member of a patient who was in critical condition in the ER, an experience that nobody wants to have to begin with; however, our already unpleasant experience was exacerbated due to this "professional's" appalling bedside demeanor and pompous attitude. He escalated a situation (a simple misunderstanding) that clearly did not need to be escalated, using an unnecessarily aggressive tone of voice; all which was done over the bedside of said critically ill family member. I am literally appalled that someone in a position such as his could use his "power" to try to belittle someone who is already in an emotionally vulnerable state because they are trying to advocate for their loved one. Even after the… situation had been completely resolved, he continued to escalate it, rather than drop it and focus on doing his job, which was taking care of a critical patient. It's a shame that anyone would have to have this kind of experience with someone who should be able to be trusted as a professional in their field. I have no respect for someone who abuses such a position, and I sincerely question this physician's character.

This physician has a terrible bedside manner in the setting of a loved one being very sick. He was very defensive and arrogant. Physicians such as this should not be the front line to hospital/emergency care.
