Dr. Roger Greiger, MD

Is a pretty unskilled psychiatrist. Looks at your case and doesn't really have a bases for assigning a particular med in relation to the patient. Isn't really able to draw any conclusions from talking to the patients and gets easily offended if presented with anything at all that might suggest he's made a mistake and will almost become stubborn, unfortunately this attitude from him is easy to detect and will make patients hesitant and a little afraid to work hard to get things done in treatment and recover with a stronger attitude. He just sort of picks one med and sticks with it through the duration of the stay which can make the stay longer and prevent others from getting help, instead of seeing maybe something's not working and trying something new. His meeting with patients are only 2 or 3 minuets a day, and this again prevents strong growth and will not motivate patients. Again it's unfortunate, but this all seems to stem from his very below average attitude which he also does… not mask that well. If you do have to work with him, do your best and once you are released, bring these concerns up to your psych doctor, and you will be on your way to better and more fulfilling life.

I met this doctor during an unfortunate inpatient stay. He did not take the time to get to know my case and when we did meet, his attitude was condescending and uncaring.

Dr. Greiger is an absolutely terrible psychiatrist. If he gets assigned to you or someone you care about, demand to be reassigned! He utterly failed to accurately diagnose my DH, leading to the most severe complications imaginable. He failed to contact me or my DH's treating psychiatrist for 5 days following an inpatient admission, failed to appreciate the seriousness of my DH's condition or to create a good discharge plan. Am contemplating a malpractice suit against him. Should be stripped of his license IMHO.
