I went in back in 2010 to have my edema checked out, based on the referal of another dr. He told me that since my edema included both legs, it wasn't a vascular issue. Never did an exam. Two years later, I found out from other family members had edema that their's was in both legs, and vascular surgery corrected the problem. I then sought out a different surgeon, who did an ultrasound on the first first and found not one, but TWO vascular issues that cause edema. Further, if the issues went untreated, I could have ended up in heart failure. Thanks!

Diagnosis was correct but surgery didn't go well and resulted in a life altering condition.His post recovery care is not good and his office staff never gets back with lab results. When you call they sound irritated that you made a call. The Dr. is really good though about explaining what went wrong and how it could have been avoided. Look for others if you can.

Could have had a stent but he insisted on surgery! Got a small stroke.
