My mother has advanced dementia and has been homebound for many months. When it became time that she had to leave home and needed an assessment for nursing home admittance. Her 30 plus year doctor from NorthShore had no interest in providing any sort of home visit option, be it MD or nurse practitioner. I really wanted to avoid the trauma of making mom sit in a waiting room as her doc asked questions that she couldnâ??t coherently respond to, while she pecked away at a keyboard. MD friends of mine tried to steer me away from the home doctor option, but what was I going to do? Through an online search, I found Dr. Lucerno. He spent well over an hour assessing my mother, asked many questions of me and made a genuine effort to understand my responses. He was patient and kind in dealing with my mother and accelerated his report so that I could make momâ??s transfer 48 hours later. In my laymanâ??s opinion, he certainly appeared to be competent, punctual, understanding and… willing to help.

Can't ask for a better Dr.
