Dr. Roger Michael Lyons, MD

Dr. Lyons has been treating me for 25 years. He and the Lord saved my life. Dr. Lyons would not give up on me and now I'm in remission. He truly cares about each patient as if they were his only one. Even though I've moved 200 miles south of San Antonio I remain his patient. The walls of his office are covered with well deserved awards. There are so many they've run out of wall space! I dread the day he retires.

I have been seeing Dr Lyons for about 20yrs. I have Systemic Lupus and other autoinlmmune disorders. Dr Lyons is an outstanding Dr. He is very knowledgeable and has a terrific bedside manor. He gets right to the point. I feel very confortable ecpressing any of my concerns and he listens. He also treated my husband for lymohoceotic leukemia. He has always gone to see me whenever I have been in the hospital. He gets right to the point and no matter what you go in for he had the answer and treats me. I dont know what I would have done all these years without hin. Highly recommended.

Best specialist I've ever been to.

I was a patient of Dr Lyons for many years before a move took us out of state. They were very thorough in finding the cause of my clots. The staffs bedside manner was always great especially considering I was only in my teens when I started going in for my biweekly blood draws. Dr Lyons always took the time to make sure he answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed and always felt like I was genuinely cared for as an individual and not just a number.

Dr. Lyons is an amazing man and doctor. I've seen him for over 20 years for a hematologic disorder. Initially, he can come off a bit gruff but he really is a softy. Although his office doesn't see children, or even let them past the waiting room, he saw my daughter around age 6 because of the same disorder I have. He has been her hematologist since then...and she's 19 now. The reality is, if you need this type of doctor, you want Dr. Lyons working for you. He demands excellence from all treating parties, even hospital nurses and other, unrelated, doctors. If he's taking new patients, consider yourself lucky to have him.

After my first doctor sent me home with Hospice to die, a good friend found Dr. Lyons for me to go to for a second opinion. Dr. Lyons literally saved my life. Dr. Lyons is not only a outstanding doctor he is truly a wonderful, caring person. He is extremely knowledgable, thorough and totally dedicated to each and every patient he treats. He will never give up on a patient. You may feel like his office visits are a long wait at times, but that is because he takes time with each patient to make sure their medical issues are completely addressed. The wait is well worth it.

Dr. Lyons has been my Doctor since I was 13 years old. I am now 28 years old. I have a rare combination of blood disorders and have been on and off Chemo and other therapys for the past 15 years. Dr. Lyons has been through all of this with me and my family. We live 6 hours away and is always a phone call away. We think so much of this man and his capabilities that we drive 5 hours one way to see him and will continue this forever. Great Doctor...Great Staff.

If you have cancer, this is the guy to see. He is outstanding with hematological tumors such as Leukemia and Lymphoma. There is a reason he is so successful!

The above opinion is not true when he mentions Dr. Lyons handing you off to another doctor. Dr. Lyons has been my doctor for 20 years. He has seen me through numerous blood clots. Dr. Lyons is a teddy bear with his clients. Nurses don't like him becuase he makes them work. Anyone would be so lucky to have Dr Lyons as their doctor.
