Dr. Roger Linh Nguyen, MD

I was referred to Dr. Roger Nguyen by my primary care physician for my allergy. Dr. Nguyen and staff are very professional and sensitive to my needs. He takes time and tries to diagnose my condition to see what caused it. After couple visits, I actually felt better. Thank you Dr. Nguyen for caring and go an extra step in treating my allergy.

on of the best doctors I've ever had

Doctor is insensitive to patients' needs. He is too cheap to rent his own office and he has not hired adequate or professional staff. He shares an office with his optometrist brother who works full time but he only work Tuesday and Friday. If you call on his work day his staff person will not answer the phone or take calls, so you have to leave messages with the optometrist's staff who keeps apologizing because she feel bad that Dr Rogers Nguyen staff has been unresponsive. It took over a month calling before Dr Nguyen office would speak with me. Further since two doctors are sharing a tiny office, it gets very crowded in the lobby, which creates a fire hazard. I actually enjoyed meeting with Dr. Nguyen but his staff is rude and culturally insensitive and the manner in which he runs his office is horrible. He hires a non-Vietnamese speaking lady who yells at patients and breaks hippa laws by discussing patient issues in the lobby area for everyone to hear. This is the worst… customer service experience I have ever had. I saw other patients walking out complaining of there disatisfaction, so I decided to give up and ask my primary for a referral to another allergist.

The receptionist in the G.G. office is UNACCEPTABLE! It took me three weeks after I got my referral approved just to get my first appointment. The first week and a half I called I kept getting a message saying the voicemail was full and NEVER got anyone to actually answer the phone. When I finally did get through, she answered the phone "hello" and asked if she could call me back and she never did which lead to another week of trying to get through again. I was finally seen, and have been trying to make a follow up appointment. At the end of last week I reached her and she answered "hello" again (no name of Dr./office, etc,) and she replied "The Dr. isn't in today, can I call you back?" I said "yes, as long as you DO". Surprise....NO call back five days later. I will NOT be going back to this office.

Dr. Nguyen is a very good alergist. He works out of two offices, Downy and Garden Grove. The Downy office is very effecient and a much larger one then the GG office. However, originally I had so much trouble getting an appointment for the GG office, (since it's much closer to me than Downy). The office girl doesn't speak very good english. I had a load of trouble the very first time, as speaking over the phone in English is very hard, (which includes the insurance part set up and a call back after insurance approval). However, once set up in their files, everything is easy-peasy! The nurse is great and Dr. Nguyen is the best; very personable and professional. I listed 'Easy in Getting Appointment' as 'Good' since I basically walk in any time and can get my shot within 10 minutes, (it's just that first time that's a pain).

I was a patient with Dr. Burger in the same office in Norwalk; I was having some allergy problems and Dr. Burger was very hard to get a reasonable time. So I was offered Dr. Nguyen. His English is excellent (for those who might be afraid of that) and he was very very friendly. I wish I could go back to him but my medical plans have changed. Dr. Burger is a great Doctor too. If there was any complaint, they are very very busy over in the Norwalk office, (Dr. Nguyen works at two offices); the Garden Grove Office Staff has a little trouble with English, and never called me back.
