After my trusted primary care provider of 33 years retired in early 2018, I needed to find a new PCP. After my first visit with Dr. Scharf today, I am absolutely relieved and elated. He's everything I would want in a physician: smart, superb communicator, creative, inquisitive, great listener, personable, passionate about his practice, keeps up with medical advances, doesn't believe in over-prescribing, and more. He put me at ease immediately. I am looking forward to building on the trusting doc-patient relationship that we established from the get-go!

I moved here from Texas 3 years ago. My sister-in-law who always researches her Doctor recommended Dr. Scharf. Since that time I developed a problem that caused tremendous pain. Dr. Scharf has done everything in his power to see that I am pain free with a great quality of life. I have since found out that 2 of my co-workers see him also. Everyone I know raves about him. Dr. Sharf is a keen listener. He then expects you to listen to and follow his advice. During my recent surgery and hospitalization Dr. Sharf was in the loop regarding my progress as well as temporary problems that arose. His input was valuable and reassuring as it was good to know he was keeping an eye. Dr. Sharf is a work-horse who devotes precious non-office time to following up on emails and keeping abreast of latest scientific developments. Needless to say, he is not paid for this. In his office, he takes time to allow a patient to explain symptoms and other feelings of distress. Dr. Sharf is a caring, dedicated and efficient medical professional whom I trust and admire.
