He seemed very knowledgeable but not too concerned about me. He might be great with severe conditions. In a big hurry. Doctors need to realize that ALL people are important. He definitely doesn’t fit Mercy’s TV ad of caring compassionate doctors. Still looking for answers...

It was my first time seeing him for Thyroid problems. He was condensending & no compassion! I was left hanging with the horrible symptoms I'm having. Good luck on finding an endo who cares about patients anymore. They need to treat Thyroid patients symptoms not the numbers! Read Stop the Thyroid Madness by HypoMom! There's the education! Is it really about the money? What happened to the old physicians who really cared. Too bad they are all retiring.

I went to see Dr. Smith after being diagnosed with Hashimotoes by my primary doctor ( my primary doctor sent me to him after I was diagnosed to get further treatment.) he came in the door and pretty much just said. â??Yes, do you have Hashimotoes. It is an autoimmune disease and there is no cure so I canâ??t do anything for you. I understand that but when I asked if he would listen to my symptoms and see if any of them could be treated in any way. He pretty much just blew me off and then said no and walked outâ?¦ I am on thyroid meds and he said thatâ??s all I can do.

Dr. Smith is the best doctor I've found for my thyroid problem. He diagnosed my medical situation and helped me tremendously.

Dr. Smith was not listening to me,or my symptoms. He used the out-dated TSH labs to determine if I was hypothyroid or not. I have every single symptom of hypothyroidism and said I need to exercise more and eat less...he said he would not consider/treat my hypothyroidism unless my levels were a TSH of 10....prehistoric, primitive and not current with thyroid labs and diagnosis. AVOID THIS DOCTOR.
