Dr. Roger Thomas Turcotte JR., MD

His website says he’s taking new patients, that is not the case and when I called his staff was very rude at even talking to me and said he’s booked out till May 2020. I can understand that he is very popular but she was extremely rude at saying he’s not even taking new patients. They should update their website

Listens, explains, helps and goes beyond all the time

There must be another MD with Dr. Turcotte's same name that the negative review was addressed to. When I read that review, I decided to write my own to balance it. Dr. Turcotte and his team at Humphrey's is the best diabetic group I have had since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 28 years ago. I look forward to my visit with him every 3 months. He keeps good records and remembers what I say from visit to visit. I wish I could have him as my doctor for the rest of my life. He is young enough for my wish to come true.

From my first visit to present I was treated with respect and kindness. The entire office and doc was attentive and caring. He was thorough. He talked to me like I was respected, we talked about my health and ways to better it! I feel I can tell him anything pretty much. There was no judgment of me and I felt safe and trusted him. He keeps track of my health, he listened to me and what I thought as well as explaining everything when I asked. That nasty report listed is nonsense. He is my doctor and I am confident he will treat me well and professionally.

This just shows how one person's narrow view doesn't necessarily apply to everyone else. I felt compelled to provide input here, as my experience has been completely the opposite of the prior reviewer's. I have felt extremely empowered by Dr. Turcotte in my interactions with him. I feel that he does an excellent job of respecting and encouraging the patient to play a role in treatment, with his role being a facilitator and subject-matter expert. He has always taken the time to answer my questions in a friendly and informative manner, never appearing rushed or distracted. I greatly-appreciate that he brings current research and methodology to his practice, and can always speak to the new trends and thinking around most topics. I've recommended him to others seeking a competent Internist, and will continue to do so.

I haven't met many doctors who summed up the worst prejudices people have against doctors but Roger Turcotte is a close fit. He was dismissive, rude, judgmental and essentially made everything out to be my fault. The man has zero, none in the way of bedside manner and seemingly no interest in his patients. A thoroughly unprofessional person who should not be practicing medicine as that entails dealing with people, which he is not capable of.
