Dr. Roger James Vitko, MD

I saw Dr. Vitko several times over the year for bladder and prostate problems. I found him to be very caring and knowledgeable about my condition. He explained my situation clearly to me. I felt very reassured. He help me to understand the numbers from the lab which was a big help.

Not a people person. Proper communication skills, little empathy and never spoke to me after surgery. Never told me what to expect after the surgery. Seemed bother when I went to see him after a week with pain rather than waiting a month

The staff is wonderful, Dr Vitko is a cold dr with the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. He never shook my hand, answered my questions or even looked me in the eye. Never examined me, just went to his computer and faced it the whole time.I have a lot of fear of what's going on with me, he didn't even care to help me feel at ease. He spent a whole 2 minutes with me, and then proceeded to prescribe a medication and walked out before I could even ask him questions about the medication. I left with so many questions, feeling like I was a bother to him. I highly recommend going anywhere but to him. I will never see this dr again.

My husband is suffereing acute nerve pain after the surgery for last 1 and half years. He did the TURP again but the coindition only worsened. Still looking for a good urologist who can fix my husband's suffering.

doctor did NOT explain to our understanding the extent of my husband's bladder cancer. He seemed very cavalier about it even though it is high risk. He didn't explain and we didn't understand. The nurse did not seem to know much more about anything. The procedure was a mystery, the diagnosis was a mystery, and the oncology appt was done for very far in the future with a very serious illness. We feel ill informed and very poorly treated.

Very rude.. Not very good bed side manners..
