Dr. Roger Dale Ward, DO

Had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Ward at Genesis First Care north today. I live out of town and needed an ear wick reinserted as I had had an ear infection x 5 days and my wick had came out. He was the third physician I had come into contact with that week for this condition and he put me on an oral antibiotic ( which I didn't even have to ask for, and I had previously begged the other two physicians to do). I felt very cared for during this visit and wish more physicians were like him.

I saw Dr. Ward for several years at MVHC. The clinic itself is overburdened, which makes it remarkable that Dr. Ward is able to spend as much time with patients as he does. His off-the-cuff medical knowledge is wonderful, and he's in no rush to diagnose and medicate patients for no reason, but has no hesitation to treat acute illness. It's rare to find a doctor who is willing to listen to a patient's input, and to put as much weight on it as he does. He's also more than happy to refer to a specialist on request. The clinic is lucky to have him, as he may be the only competent doctor in Zanesville.
