Dr. Roger Bruce Wigton, MD

From waiting on the phone to cooling your heels in the outdated dingy office this physician has downscaled his professionalism by association. The office needs to be updated. Staff members need to learn how to wash their hands between patients and to remember we are their customers, not a cattle number.

I would love to write a review of Dr. Wigton, but I couldn't get past the rudeness of his scheduler when I called to make an appointment. I had two highly recommended pulmonologists to choose from for this appointment, so I am going with the other doctor, who had a professional and courteous staff when I called.

I was recently hospitalized with lung complications following abdominal surgery, and Dr. Wigton was extremely attentive both during my stay and in follow up. I was transferred to a second hospital and Dr. Wigton personally collected my files and films from radiology into an envelope and handed them to me as I was being loaded in the ambulance. He didn't want any details to be lost. He knew the best way to communicate between hospitals was for me to hand carry the films. Excellent critical care and follow up- he gave me his home number to make sure my needs were met at all hours.

Excellent Dr. but not the best bed side manner - very blunt and to the point - but he managed 4 more years for my mom after everyone said 3 to 6 mo, even he said 3 - 6 and still we got 4
