Dr. Ross Russ Lakhanpal, MD

I have been seeing Dr Lakhanpal for many years. I have previously had retina problems as those experienced by diabetics. Now, after I experienced a Diabetic Keto Acidosis approximately 6 months ago and have become a diabetic myself, it it extremely important to see Dr Lakhanpal on a regular basis. Extremely personable and great bedside manner!

Dr Lakhanpal fixed my Detached Retina with surgery and was very comforting with the entire process telling me exactly what to expect both before and after surgery

This doctor saw me after my optometrist thought something might be wrong. Dr. Ross saw immediately I had a problem. It turned out that I had a detachment! I was very frightened. Dr. Ross calmly explained everything to me and took the time to answer my many questions. He did something to my eye in the office to help me, then he did my surgery the day after. I am so happy with Dr. Ross. He is an awesome caring man!

Dr. Ross was great. I felt very satisfied with his expertise and would recommend him and follow up with him again.

There were three patients scheduled at my appointment time! How was this possible? I could overhear the staff discussing other patients by name in the examining area at the Baltimore Washington Eye Center. I am very happy that my diabetes is not bad enough to require treatment at this time. I went to another retinal specialist after being told by Dr.Lakhanpal that I should get an injection in my eye! A needle in my eye! The other doctor I saw told me my disease could be managed without such aggressive treatments and controlled with laser treatment. I will not be returning to Baltimore Washington Eye Center to see this doctor or the doctor that sent me to see him. Health care is very expensive and this doctor is driving up the cost!

When I met Dr. Ross Lakhanpal I was very impressed by his caring bedside manner and his explanation. I had been to 5 other eye specialists before him and he correctly diagnosed my retinal detachment. Surgery went well and I am back at work now. He took such good care of me. I was blessed to have him as my retina doctor!

Really great experience with this young doctor. He fixed both my eyes from blindness due to diabetes. I had undergone 5 surgeries before going to him for a second opinion and he fixed both eyes with one surgery each! He makes it look easy and he's nice! Love him and wish him well!

great doctor, very professional, well-mannered, excellent at explaining everything I wanted to know. Gave me options. Most importantly, surgery SUCCESSFUL in restoring my vision to 20/20! He is a Rock Star in the operating room, folks. And he is nice.told my mother to see him for Mac degeneration also.

Now that I have had treatment in both eyes by this wonderful doctor, I need to spread the word. He is young but experienced. He has been on all the clinical trials for injections in the eye and developed many surgery techniques. He saved my vision in one eye with injections and in the other with surgery. My friend referred me to him after he fixed her complicated retinal detachment. And he is nice! Hope to not have to see him much since I am better, but cannot be more pleased with him!

When I was told I had to see a retina doc, I was terrified. He made me very very comfortable! Explained everything. I was upset but he comforted me and told me he would do everything possible. Has a great surgical reputation but I was worried. He did a great job and fixed my retinal detachment! Highly highly recommended!
