Dr. Rohit Sundrani, MD

My internal medicine doctor found I had a physical condition that was getting worse. I was diagnosed by Dr. Sundrani that I had what is called fibromuscular dysplasia of the arteries that lead to the kidneys. This condition caused my blood pressure to rise steadily. My readings were off the charts at over 200+ and the bottom number in the 100's. I could have very well had a stroke or heart attack. Dr. Sundrani is the only doctor in Fresno who treats patients with this insidious condition. He is a pioneer in treating patients and keeping them alive with the knowledge he has acquired in his training with fibromuscular dysplasia. Doctor Sundrani inserted stents in both my arteries leading to the kidneys and opened them up so more blood could flow through much more of my kidneys. He has answered so many of my puzzling questions on what causes this malady. He is working with great hospitals in developing cutting edge technology which may some day in the near future be able to… stabilize my condition and; hopefully, take me off of some of the more powerful medicines that I must take to live each day. He is "the cream of the crop". If I had not been referred to him by my primary care physician who knows if I would still be here today. The results could have been much worse in my outcome. He is an extremely intelligent doctor who I am so very grateful to be one of his patients. I look forward to the day when this new technological procedure is approved by the FDA for human beings to be able to live a more healthier lifestyle without the fear of a massive heart attack or devastating stroke. I thank God everyday that he is my doctor.

Sundrani kept me waiting for over one hour and seemed angry that I waited for him instead of opting for the Nurse practitioner. I recently discovered I had cardiac problem and was anxious about the results of a recent test. Sundrani was rude and impatient and spent the majority of the visit bragging about his own accomplishments. I left feeling quite depressed. I would never return nor refer anyone to this person.

My wife's heart was very weak, she was critical and in the hospital when Dr.Sundranin 1st saw her. Because of his skill and understanding her case Mary enjoyed 12 additional years of quality life. I will always be indebted to Dr Sundrani for his care.

Been seeing Dr. Sundrani since 2013 following a heart transplant, including receiving prior poor service from another local cardiologist. Dr. Sundrani and staff are some of the greatest people, giving all patients his time and professional courtesy. Office staff are wonderful as well. Unlike a prior cardiologist I saw prior to him, he takes the time to get to know his patients, and is extremely down-to-earth. He wants his patient's input as well.

Wonderful cardiologist. He is the most open-minded cardiologist I have known. He allows his patients to have a say in their care, and allows his patients to live their lives. Been seeing this cardiologist for 5+ years, I am his only heart transplant recipient, and he is more than happy to listen.

He is the worst at following up. Does test and never follows up with results. Leaves you hanging and then you have to deal with his staff that Im sure could do better at flipping burgers in a fast food place. Dr does not respect his patients time, like it doesn't matter to him at all. Just wait on him, then rushes thru your appointment and orders a lot of tests that you have to fight tooth and nail to ever get any results. Im sure he has a lot on his plate as do the rest of this world. I am now in my 2nd week again trying to get test results from a heart monitor I turned in three weeks ago. No one in the office has returned my call from 2 weeks ago, and yesterday I called again and had to get crappy for someone to call after 500pm and promise to get me my results this morning. That has not happened. I have tried three times to make contact with a human in his office today, and finally I get a human and get hung up on. Once they returned the call, had to get crappy with the gentleman in… Sundrani's office and he still couldn't get me any answers! So if you have a heart attack don't want this dr by your bed side. NOT HAPPY

He did save my life in the emergency room and I did see him right before I was discharged from the hospital. I have had 5 or 6 appointments but haven't seen him or been able to ask him questions regarding my heart attack, which I had in May.

He is a great Doctor which is why it is hard to see him without a wait. He is on demand at the hospital and at his practice. Very polite and shares everything you need to know and takes his time with you. He is often called away due to emergencies which can cause your appointment to be late or canceled.
