Dr. Rola Saouaf, MD

I see here that Dr Saouaf did not previously have great reviews.... the principle complaint being "billing issues:" Give me a break! I had an MRI done of my aortic arch ordered by my rheumatologist. It was read by Dr. Saouaf, who noted that the aortic arch was normal, however she noted a small lesion on the right breast and recommended I have a mammogram. I was to overly concerned since I had had a mammogram and an ultrasound about 7 months earlier, however my husband insisted I go in ASAP. As it turns out the lesion was in fact cancerous. It was not seen on a new mammogram and might have even been missed on a routine ultrasound, but with the doctor doing the ultrasound he now knew exactly where to look and found the lesion. it was very aggressive Her2+ breast cancer and had Dr Saouaf not noted the lesion, it could have been a few years before it showed up on a mammogram or ultrasound. She literally saved my life. I ended up at Cedars with Dr Giuliano and had a lumpectomy, 6… rounds of Chemo, radiation and thankfully now am a 2+ year survivor! Thank you Dr Saouaf! Sorry to the person with billing issues.....find a real problem.
