Dr. Roland M Lajoie, MD

Having left my previous Dr because of a lack of care or understanding of my condition Dr Lajoie was a true breath of fresh air. He took the time to explain to me everything that was going on with my condition. I did not feel rushed in the least. He took the time to not only explain what he was doing but also to answer every question I had. He has a wonderful bedside manner and I felt so relived when I left his office. I finally found a Dr that not only took the time to explain exactly what I needed to do and how he was going to help me. I would recommend him to anyone with diabetes who wants a Dr that knows his field.

I felt he backed up everything he said with research and studies. I felt his knowledge was exceptional. I had a disorder for 10 years that every other doctor missed. That disorder was not even related to my visit. If you want the best, he's your guy.

He never listened to me, interrupting me constantly and made sure I didn't exceed my fifteen minutes whether my questions were answered or not. He told me all his patients are on the same regimen; totally lacks the understanding that each person is an individual and so is their diabetes. I asked him six years ago for a pump, only to be told (with an attitude) "You don't need one!' My new endo told me during my first visit that I was a prime candidate for a pump. Now that I have had one for a couple of months my blood sugar numbers are far more stable. I only wish I had left six years ago - I would not have kidney disease.

I would not recommend this doctor

Dr LaJoie is a great doctor. Unlike every other practice I've visited, he does not overbook his schedule. He is always prepared with advance review of my file and he won't end an appointment until my questions are answered.

Great with appointments made while out of state, staff very attentive and helful, Dr. LaJoie very accomodating.

Dr. Lajoie is an excellent physician. He tells you the truth in a compassionate manner. If you are not doing as well as you could he lets you know that also. All in all a great person and an excellent physician. The best I have had to date.
