Dr. Roland Staud, MD

I saw him around 2006 or 2007 at the time I was in college and had 13 specialist doctors, very sick. To date my experiences with his practice are the worst I’ve ever had. He would only take me on as a patient if I would undergo his muskoskeletal research experiment at the time, which was very painful. I was dropped as a patient because I had to undergo this experiment where they would heat up copper plates to different intervals and it was placed on the palm of your hands and on the bottoms of your feet and you had to rate your pain on a scale .. well, I started crying because it was burning me so much and I was shaking and the lady told me it I quit now that he wouldn’t see me as a patient anymore and then I received the letter. That was the LAST of me being a human guinea pig so he can be published in a medical journal. I’m sure by now there are other people that specialize in Fibromyalgia and just because he wrote Fibromyalgia for Dummies doesn’t make him a good human being. Your… initial consultation will be very sterile/clinical and he will tell you to lose weight even if you aren’t heavy

One of the many unhelpful doctors I saw who tried to dismiss my very obvious ibs symptoms as depression. Sorry roland but you're an awful psychologist. He also wasnt able to schedule a follow up appointment with me for a full year? So I dont see how he could ever help anyone.

Dr. Staud was very thorough and spent time performing tests and following up with the proper blood work and other testing. He provided a summary of my results and recommended various options. Very caring and a true professional who knows his field.

When expressing my pain, symptoms Dr Staud dismissed me saying others were much worse. Also, when discussing options, that I had lots of choices, but only one HE would be part of, Dismissing my wishes.
