Dr. Winterfield was AMAZING. He explained my condition in a very basic way in which I could understand, which was very much appreciated. He has a GREAT demeanor & is very understanding. I would recommend Dr. Winterfield to anyone I know.

Excellent cardiologist

Dr. Winterfield took care of both my Father and Mother. Their prior cardiologist was distant and aloof but Dr. Winterfield was compassionate and caring from the first appointment onward. His knowledge and warm manner won us all over. When other doctors were quick to pursue aggressive, invasive and costly procedures, he was the voice of reason. He assessed my parents' conditions carefully and correctly. We are fortunate to have found him. He's a rare breed of doctor. Wish there were more like him.

I spent weeks telling my family doctor I had pericarditis. He refused to believe me, even though it's been a reoccurring condition since I was 15. I'm now 28. Every test he ran came back negative, and rather than taking my claim seriously, he kept ordering more tests. Finally after screaming at him he got me in with Winterfield. Within 5 minutes of my first appointment with Winterfield I was given the diagnosis of pericarditis. He explained that for this condition, tests often come back negative, and it's up to the doctor to take signs and symptoms into consideration in order to make an accurate diagnosis, not just test results. Thanks to Winterfield, I not only got my diagnosis, but was treated for it too. I no longer feel like I'm having a heart attack every time I move, thanks to him putting me on beta-blockers. If it wasn't for him, I would still be undiagnosed and basically bedridden. I am beyond grateful to this man! It's so nice being able to deal with a doctor who will take the… time to listen and who knows how to do his job!
