Dr. Roma Jane Sprung, MD

I was born in Canada, and following my family and the snow geese, we traveled from Northern Quebec to the south of Mexico every year for many years. We settled in California, where I received my BA in Biology with an emphasis on Molecular Biology at UC Santa Cruz. I received my medical degree from the Universite de Grenoble in France. Returning to this country, I spent many years practicing emergency medicine in Connecticut. I have been working in the Rogue Valley for nine years now, and I must say I am thrilled to be back in the west. I was drawn to the cultural and geographic richness of the Rogue Valley and Ashland in particular. I think my education gives me a unique perspective on health care. I enjoy helping people find their way to optimal health and the best health care for their particular situation. I believe my role is as educator and coordinator, helping my patients navigate our complex, and at times confusing, health care system.
