Dr Roman E Politi, MD

Horrible .. did not address why I was there but focused on another issue that was not why I went. Someone needs to check into the connection between his office and others ... one had washes the other .. be warned.

I found both PA Pepin and Dr. Politi to be both competent and compassionate. Not the people to see if you want an "instant fix" but very current on literature, research, etc for more permanent, healthy approaches. I would highly recommend this office and now feel fortunate to have accidentally landed with them after the last two neurologists I saw up here left the area. I have worked in the field for many years and believe this office could more than hold its own among the best.

Dr. Politi was very kind and I appreciate his time. Unfortunately, I saw his PA, Liz Peppin. I spent most of my time with her. I felt VERY I comfortable around her. I asked her to read a timeline I wrote and she replied,” I don’t need to, I read your chart.” Everything was based on “ my anxiety,” even though I wrote, in my timeline, that I’ve had no issues since 2008. When discussing my first and only neurology appointment with someone else, years ago, she read some comments to me. She said that Neurologist attributed my “ head shaking for 45 minutes” after the MRI, to anxiety. Well, the whole reason I had the MRI wa because I just fell on my head the previous month. I’ve had spinal MRI’s and that has NEVER happened. I wish these people would not judge, but listen more. Her bedside manner is very poor. There are not many resources around here, so unfortunately, I have to see her again. I’m a Professional and I felt that she was very condescending. Listen to your patients, LIz.

My regular neurologist had sent me to Politi because my doctor didn't perform the outpatient procedure that I needed. When I went for my appointment I had to wait for over 2.5 hours before I saw the doctor only to find out that he won't be performing the procedure because they hadn't processed any of my insurance paperwork. I had driven an hour out of town to see him! To make matters worse, he was sick with a bad cold that day and didn't care that he was spreading all his germs to me. He and his office were completely unprepared to see me and should have canceled the appointment! Things got worse as he badmouthed my regular neurologist and changed my medications without knowing my history or paying attention to my existing medications. I had only gone to see him for a procedure, not for a diagnosis or overall care, but it sounded like he was trying to steal patients from other neurologists. Thankfully when I went to fill the prescription the pharmacist pointed out that my heart… could stop by taking the new prescription in combination with my existing prescriptions. I was horrified by this oversight and checked with my regular neurologist who confirmed this. I refused to see Politi again and decided to drive 2 hours instead to get the procedure done from another doctor.

I saw Dr. Politi about a year ago, possibly more? This was in regards to unbearable muscle pain. He ordered appropriate tests ,coming up with the diagnosis of Dystonia, involving legs, thighs, groin,hands and arms. He prescribed Carbidopa-Levodopa,,1/2 tablet 3 times daily for 3 days. Then 1 tablet 3x daily.

Dr. Politi did a EMG that was ordered by another Dr. I found him to be impatient and rude when reviewing my medical history. If you don't mind giving one or two word answers when a Dr. asks a question, then he's your man.
