Dr. Romeo Augusto Lucas, DO

I had a robotic myomectomy done by Dr. Lucas. It was a same day surgery so I was able to return home shortly after the procedure. Had some pain (which is expected) for only a few days after the procedure. I was able to return to work after two weeks and I'm healing nicely. I highly recommend Dr. Lucas for this procedure.

Robotic Hysterectomy was great, recovery was horrid given the fact the Dr. refused to speak/treat following 14 day post op appt. Ended in the ER for post surgical care. $5,000 bill, multiple internal exams all for a 15 minute fix of silver nitrate on the vaginal cuff. The cauterization would of been covered under the $30,000 surgical bill but instead was charged additional $5,000. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. Go to anyone else.

Run from Dr. Lucas. He does not care about his patients or their well being!

I have been seeing Dr. Lucus for about 4 months. He is always very funny and sensitive to my needs. When he performed my surgery to remove a cyst, I was very worried since this is the first time getting surgery. Him and the staff at Jersey Shore Medical Center made me feel very comfortable. Thanks Dr. Lucus and staff would defined recommend.

Waited for to meet with doctor until an hour after appointment time (as is always the case in this office) Finally met with doctor and was sent for additional testing to decipher between ovarian cysts vs. cancer. Only to find out from him after panicking for a few that he "must have felt the colon not the ovaries". (your a gynocologist who doesn't know the difference between a colon and an ovary?) Wrote wrong prescription for birth control despite confirming right in front of me as he was putting it into he computer, wrote for it to be taken at the wrong frequency and not even enough for one full year until next appointment. Save your time and see Dr. Baum instead if you are willing to wait the extra time (as they are usually running behind). Office staff is great, Dr. Baum is fantastic. But I wouldn't even recommend this guy to someone I don't like.

Dr. Lucas was the ONLY doctor (and I have been to many!) who was able t properly diagnose and ameliorate a pain that I have had for years. Other doctors literally told me I was "crazy" and that there was nothing wrong. Dr. Lucas found the source of the pain, performed surgery and I am now on the mend!
