Dr. Ron Edward Swensen, MD

I came to Dr. Swensen for the period of watchful waiting for a tricky endometrial cancer. I have seen him now for three years and can say he has consistently provided up to date information, he has provided thorough care, and is respectful of my input and concerns and sees me a part of the healing process. His nurse is also great. I’m very thankful to have found Dr Swensen.

Word cannot explain how we admire the professionalism Dr. Swensen has been showing as a provider while treated me for my cancer. Dr. Swensen's listening ability is unique. He always explains the available treatment options with clarity. What makes this Dr. unique is also the fact that he has always made himself available at night and weekends. Whenever we needed to call him outside of regular hours, called him with ease as though we we were making to a family member. He is simply the best!!! Tess

When I had cancer a few years ago, I felt that I was in good hands. He talked to me rather then at me and wanted my input. We also discussed the latest care etc. I'm cancer free after surgery, chemo and radiation.

I found Dr Swensen completely fatastic. He took the time to explain my uterine cancer and all the options for treatment. He was so kind and thoughtful. Was told had uterine cancer, he did not retest as referring doctor askedasked, following surgery LLUMC pathology report came back negative. Three day robotic surgery lasted for five weeks in hospital. Was removed by hospitals admin. New doctors assigned, recovered with continual pain. Have pictures of proof

After an ambulance ride took me to the county's ER, where I was eventually discharged with a scratch paper scrawled with, 'Report to GynOncolClinic8am R/O Ovarian Cancer', I hurriedly went online and researched my best option. Then, I self-referred, was mercifully accepted, and within scant days was optimally debulked and, though the initial prognosis was a 5-year max., today I am enjoying a full life with my family almost 14 recurrence-free years later! I remember him fondly for riding his then pre-school daughter on his shoulders to do weekend rounds - my youngest was a similar age at the time - Though I compiled a long list of questions before each visit, every one of them was answered to my satisfaction. Were a loved one to require gyn care - oncol (cancer), or not, I would travel any distance to be certain she was cared for by Dr. Ron Swensen. God's Will will be done without a doubt when in Dr. Swensen's care!
