Dr. Ronald Joseph Aronoff, MD

Took my husband to him when he was in a lot of pain and he did not care. Did the surgery and has the worst bedside personality!!!

I feel very fortunate to have Dr Ronald Aronoff as my surgeon. I was brought to the hospital with a complete bowel blockage and a referral for Dr Aronoff. He saw me as soon as I arrived to my room with a probable prognosis and a plan on how and when my surgery would take place. He made sure to keep me in the loop and checked on me every day that I was in the hospital. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr.Ronald Aronoff.

I saw Dr. Aronoff for some stomach pain I had been having for months. I can't speak for his skills as a surgeon (although I know an ICU nurse at Medical City where he operates who she says he's great), but I can say for sure that he's a very courteous and professional doctor who treats his patients with a lot of respect. Also, Dr. Aronoff is a great diagnostician. After discussing my symptoms with me (he's a good listener and communicator), he decided to order some more imaging which showed masses in my gallbladder. The thing I liked most about Dr. Aronoff was that I never felt rushed (which is not the norm at a doctors visit nowadays). He spent as much time with me as he needed to make an accurate diagnosis and he even called me to discuss things further after he received the results of my MRI. I haven't had surgery yet, but when and if I do, I will definitely go to Dr. Aronoff. I feel confident in his abilities as as a surgeion, but just as importantly, I know that he will… communicate everything to me before and after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Aronoff. I'd also like to add that his schedulers were extremely helpful and courteous. I think I read a bad review about them somewhere, but from my experience, the review was totally inaccurate. They were great to me.

I saw Dr. Aranoff for a consult to remove a tumor on my left adrenal gland. He's one of only a handful of doctors in Texas who do this surgery. He pioneered the first kidney transplant in Dallas as well as pioneered laporiscopic gall bladder surgery. He treated me with respect and answered all my questions. He's very professional and helped save my life. He is the surgeon that other doctors send their family members to. He immediately saw me after surgery to check up on me and was very caring. I would definitely recommend him!

I have a hernia. Scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Dr. Arnoff was recommended by a Dr. Milstein. My appointment was rescheduled and now 4 days before the appointment, rescheduled to an unknown time and date? Telling me I need to be flexible. I am not sure where Dr. Arnoff believes that his time is more important than everyone else, but this is unprofessional. When asked to speak to Dr. Arnoff, am told he does not speak to anyone. Wow, what a great profession. Not a recommended surgeon!

Had the most horrific experience. Husband has stage IV cancer needing surgery and Dr. Aronoff had no empathy, talked down to us and has absolutely the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. As a physician myself, I had questions about his surgery and was told by him quote "You two are spending way too much time trying to OUTSMART everyone". I try to treat my patients with kindness, respect, and compassion (ESPECIALLY when the couple is facing such a life changing and emotional event such as learning you have advanced cancer). I cannot imagine a human being that is unable or unwilling to find the kindness in their heart to be compassionate towards a man and woman facing very dire circumstances with low probability of survival. Absolutely uncalled for. I would never recommend Dr. Aronoff to anyone.
