Dr. Bleday is an exceptional surgeon. After extensive surgery surgery, I was able to go home after just three days.

I found Dr. Bleday to be very pleasant, thorough, caring and very dependable following my surgery at BWH. He came by everyday and sometimes twice a day to see me and even his pre-op appointments I found he took the time to make sure he got the answers he needed and to answer any questions I had regarding my upcoming surgery and afterwards at the Post-Op visit he was warm, friendly and caring. His bedside manner was fantastic and I would highly recommend his to anyone needing his field of expertise.

Dr. Bleday did a flawless sphincter-sparing rectal surgery to remove my rectal cancer. I have excellent function following low-anterior resection and couldn't be happier with the outcome. He is so knowledgeable, willing to explain everything in detail, and obviously extremely skilled at what he does. Having cancer is no fun, but from my first meeting with Dr. Bleday I felt like I was going to be ok. His confidence and no-nonsense approach made me feel so much better. He has also been very responsive and available to me when I needed it. He saved my life and I love him!

Good doctors heal the whole patient and are good communicators. While an excellent doctor, Dr Bleday exhibited absolutely no follow.

After chemo and radiation treatments to shrink/treat a rectal tumor, previous Dr.was unsure as to whether she could save my sphincter "I won't know until I do the surgery." I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Bleday and was seen two days after my call. A rectal examination was performed and he said that he could save my sphincter. I scheduled the surgery which included a temporary ostomy which he has since reversed and couldn't be happier with the results and my entire experience with Dr. Bleday and Brigham and Woman's. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Bleday as my surgeon, I love the guy.

Dr. Bleday saved my life. He returned every phone call in a timely manner. He never leaves me wondering about a test. His surgical expertise has left me with function I never thought I could retain.His follow up is thorough. The concern he expresses and all the above gives me confidence and has helped me through a very difficult time.
