Dr. Ronald Gino Cercone, MD

My Father had enlarged prostate surgery 2 1/2 years ago which was performed by a different doctor. He had 2 years of bleeding, blood clots, could not walk for any length of time or pick anything up over 5 lbs without major bleeding. He went to see Dr. Cercone about 4 months ago. Dr. Cercone found that his prostate was enlarged again & that he had lots & lots of stones. He performed surgery & my Father has been feeling great! I would highly recommend this Doctor.

Absolute fantastic care, treatment, and follow-up. My cancer was diagnosed with no symptoms and Dr. Cercone analyzed all options thoroughly with me. I chose surgery which was also performed by Dr. Cercone at UPMC Passavant. My surgery and care in the hospital was beyond expectation. As it stands now, my prognosis for a long life is excellent. As far as I’m concerned, Dr. Cercone saved my life and for that, I am most grateful.

Would not advice anyone to see Dr Cercone. He does not seem to possess a professional temperament. Doesn't listen to your needs and after all that I will go to another doctor for I don't feel I can trust his diagnosis.

Very to the point, not warm and fuzzy. Office staff is hit or miss. some nice and some rude. they do not accommodate patients well or think about continuity of care, providing info. to patients that need it.

I saw Dr. Cercone for a vasectomy. He was very caring and accommodating; he also has a great sense of humor and really put me at ease. He performs the no-incision procedure, so it was not a bad experience at all.

A vasectomy is not a pleasant experience but Dr. Cercone addresses the issue on a "man's man" level and takes the stress out of the procedure with his serious, but humorous disposition. THe nurses are extremely easy on the eyes (as recommended by a friend) and, more importantly, caring in their treatment.
