Dr. Ronald Scott Colson, MD

Dr. Colson has been my GP for 3 years. His professionalism, compassion, and breadth knowledge all have exceeded my expectations (by a lot), but what I like most is his ability to listen and communicate. Excellent doctor.

Generally friendly and knowledgeable, but has made comments that could be considered to be "fat shaming" to family members. Making positive suggestions instead of negative comments would be much more useful. Have since seen another doctor who has been so much more helpful and positive.

Dr. Colson has been my primary care physician for over five years now and I would objectively rate him as excellent in almos every category. I am a Type II diabetic dealing with some early cardio issues, spinal stinosis, occasional gout and some urinary retention issues (prostate) problems. I have always found him to be mindful of all my issues and it's clear he makes a point of being on top of the various doctor's reports that come to his office from the specialist I have dealt with. I am impressed with the fact that he always takes the time to actually listen to me; I have never felt rushed- which is a problem that often occrs with other doctors who seem to feel compelled to get you and and out of their office as quickly as possible. He also seems much more technically competent than other primary care physicians I've dealt with. So in spite of the fact that I'm deaingl with cardio, urinary and diabetes issues, he's clearly on top of the many advances in all these complex medical… diciplines. He also has a great personality and sense of humor that makes it so much easier to deal with the complrxity of the medical problems I'm dealing with. I really appreciate that!

EXCELLENT DOCTOR

Dr. Colson is great as long as you are lining his wallet. Refuses to respond to insurance companies. His answer "I didn't know how to respond" Lost my disability insurance after a stroke because of him. Hired attorney's and a neurol0gist at the tune of 7000.00 and still counting to try to fight it. I needed him to read the neuroligists report and indicate if he agreed or not. Well since I no longer have an income and was now on medicaid.. He refused to see me or even look at the report. Horrible after I was paying him for all those years! Could care less about the well being of his patients.

Spent a ton of time with me understanding my condition - great sense of humor and seemed truly interested in me as a patient. Very thorough in explaining the different treatment options and making recommendations. A high quality doc.

by far the very worst doctor- rude arrogant and uncaring. he is everything that is wrong with the medical establishment.

Dr. Colson knows his stuff. Period. A true professional.. Good sense of humor is also a plus. Helps put patient at ease.
