Dr. Ronald De Venecia

I saw Dr. De Venecia after waiting 2 months. He came to the appointment 70 minutes late. He did not listen my complaints, ignored my history. When I tried to mention my struggle with my ear issues in the past 5 years and findings of the ENT specialists I have seen before him, he got very irritated, and started to make up symptoms for me such as my eyes must be the problem for my balance issues, ringing in the ears must be because of me clenching my jaw. I don't clench my jaw but he insisted on it pointing out my lower front teeth which was shortened by the dentist who put 3 crowns to upper front teeth! When I tried to explain he got out of control. He tried to minimize all my symptoms and blamed it on the slight ear wax in my ear. He explained my decline in hearing due to not paying attention when people are talking (he was trying to imply that I should be happy that he cleaned the ear wax and I should expect my tinnitus, hearing loss, pain in the left ear, and balance issues would all… be gone). He was very disrespectful, insulting. It was waste of time and money. I would avoid him if I knew he was that kind of doctor.

I was half hour late for my application. An hour and a half took me three hours. I felt horrible for being late and his reaction was don't you worry about it, you travel far enough to see me and the traffic was miserable this morning. He is so thoughtful, kind, and extremely calming. I first saw him after a major car accident back in 2012. One thing that I love is that he takes a very conservative approach for treatment which is also my approach. He is very thorough and explains things so you can understand your condition and treatment regimen. I trust him whole heartedly and respect him and in today's world you don't come across a Dr. Like this very often and I have seen plenty. I thank him for his care.
