Dr. Ronald E. Delanois has the perfect blend of skill, professionalism, and concern for his patients. I have been his patient for 12 years, and he always enters the room with a smile and calls me by name. He listens, questions my development, examines my X-Rays when appropriate. He's up on the latest innovations and developments in orthopedics. During those 12 years I've been under his care, he has never lost his zeal and passion for medicine and his patients. I'm sorry that I don't have a third knee so that he could replace that one, too. He's a master doctor!

Today my mom’s visit was excellent. She has fully healed from her bi-lateral knee replacement surgery. Dr Delanois is very professional and pleasant. He treated us with respect and explained in detail his treatment plans. I would recommend him to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.

I am very pleased with the result of my hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Delanois. My recovery was relatively quick with minimal amount of pain. Dr. Delanios and his staff thoroughly explained the procedure and expectations prior to my surgery. The follow up care with Dr. Delanois and his staff allowed me to get answers to all my questions and helped promote my recovery.

I've always prioritized my workouts, so when in 2004/2005 I faced dual hip replacements, I made it a priority to resume my activity as quickly as possible and was able to get back onto an elliptical in 8 days as well as back to my strength training within 3 weeks after surgery. As my knees declined into significant valgus, I actually had no idea that I was having advanced knee arthritis and deformity in part because I had zero knee pain. I initially consulted with Dr. Delanois to discuss hip revision surgery thinking that my mobility issues were a result of my hip prosthetics failing. Dr. Delanois took one look at my knees and sent me for x rays. He then informed me that I was facing imminent total knee replacement surgery. Of course, I was reeling from this. I was prepared for hip revisions, not the advanced pain and challenges associated with rehabilitating from knee replacement surgery. Quickly it became apparent that I was going to stop managing my decline and start… managing a recovery, as difficult as it would be. Upon my second consultation with Dr. Delanois, due to the extent of the deformity, we discussed doing them both at the same time. What I appreciated the most from Dr. Delanois and his associate Dr. Krug, was their candid relaying of expectations of the outcomes. I had not had this experience with my hip replacement consultation or outcome. There were 3 things that were clearly relayed to me from the outset: 1. Due to my deformity, there was no guarantee the legs could be totally straightened 2. There was no guarantee that I would not come out of this with "drop foot" resulting from the straightening of the lower leg. 3. I went into surgery with a significant leg length discrepancy. They were not going to guarantee equal leg length. To date I am just over 7 weeks post op. So far my outcome has demonstrated that Dr. Delanois delivered successfully on all 3 counts! My legs are straight for the first time in years. Since 3.5 weeks I am walking with zero assistance and an even leg length. I am back to jogging and weight training. I am COMPLETELY THRILLED!! In addition, my entire experience at Sinai exceeded my expectations on all counts. I never waited for my medication, the staff always greeted me pleasantly and even anticipated my needs. Even if I called for help every hour (and I did), they never became upset and we so understanding. would completely recommend Sinai and Dr. Delanois!

I have known Dr. Delanois for many years and have had two joint replacements, as well as my wife had two joint replacements and a brother with one joint replacement all done by Dr. Delanois. I have known and worked with many orthopedic doctors over the years and I trust only him to do my surgeries. He is an excellent technician and is very truthful with all of his patients regarding their diagnosis and prognosis.
