Dr. Ronald Mark Dreifuss, MD

Dr Dreifuss was a happy accident because my sister was admitted to Mount Sinai Morningside with many medical problems including complications from Diabetes. She had many scans to figure out what was wrong and Dr Dreifuss was her radiology interventionist. Whenever I had a concern he was willing to speak to me. He explained everything so that we could understand what was going to happen as far as procedures, what the results meant and what the treatments would entail. He was a member of her team and her outpatient doctor too. He gave her the good news & bad news about her condition with kindness & concern. He would return phone calls himself. He never made you feel like he was doing you a favor if he spent an extra ten minutes explaining how something like Osteomyelitis is found by XRay, confirmed by biopsy, or treated with PIC line antibiotics. I'm simplifying things here, but her condition dragged on a long time before it was identified. He found it right away while the team kept… perusing other possibilities. He is a great doctor who knows his stuff. He has a great attitude towards his patients & his work. I can't say enough good things about him. He gives excellent advice/direction should you find yourself worried about something medical. For example, you can consult with him about a parent who is ill where you're not sure if a procedure will offer any benefit at her age. He will give you his honest opinion when it comes to something medical you are unsure about. He has helped my family tremendously.

I am a first-time patient of Dr. Dreifuss who administered an image cortisone injection for severe hip pain from arthritis. Although Dr. Dreifuss attended to me after a long day as he fit in an appointment he was highly communicative and professional in his manner. He is highly experienced, compassionate and caring. My mother saw Dr Dreifuss several times for a blood clot in her leg. Dr Dreifuss spent time explaining the procedure and answered all my mothers questions before the procedure. He was wonderful to my mother. She said he is the best doctor she has ever had. Bedside manner and follow up was wonderful. If you need a great doctor Mom and I recommend Dr. Dreifuss. You will love him.
