Dr. Ronald Lindol Ellis, MD

1.5 star rating is way too high of a rating for this "dr". Dr. Ellis has no business being in the profession that he is in. Neither he nor his staff had any ounce of personality. The only person who seemed to care was the gal checking me in. Dr. Ellis didn't want to hear about the pain and discomfort I was having on my upper back, he only wanted to talk about the pain in my lower because "that is all that is on the complaint list - I can't even discuss your other problems". I didn't feel that he even reviewed my X-Rays or MRI prior to my visit... I had to point out where my pain was at on the X-Rays. Basically, all he could tell me was that I was overweight and that I drank too much. He could do a temporary injection, but that was about all. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone.

office staff was abrupt but courteous. dr ellis never made eye contact with me, was not interested in my medical history or me. Six days later I received an injection from dr ellis in my neck. He did not speak to me before, during or after the procedure, He made no eye contact, explained nothing to me and treated everyone I saw like an animal being herded in for slaughter. the staff at the tx center were kind and helpful

I think Dr. Ellis is great. He did relieve my pain in my back and legs and I was pain free for 3 weeks. Unfortunately I had a car accident that totally messed up what he had accomplished for me and I was referred for surgery as he could no longer help me.The surgery was successful and My surgeon was wonderful! Dr. Sami khoshyomn.I thank Dr. ellis for doing all he could for me and I would reccommend him highly to anyone else if I need to!

I trusted this doctor to help me take care of my back problems. I'm a female in my mid 20's and have had back problems for years. I had jumped through all the hoops and was finally referred to Dr. Ellis. I was excited. I thought the problem was finally going to be resolved. On my first appointment he did his examination and said he was certain that I had issues with my SI joints. I trusted him and he had me set up an appointment to have an injection that should help with the pain. This was an outpatient procedure, and it didn't work. I went through that procedure two more times before he said he wanted to cauterize my nerves. He told me, "it can last anywhere from 3 months to 3 years". It lasted a month. I went back in and didn't get to see him, but a nurse practitioner who seemed like she was actually interested in figuring out what exactly was going on with me reexamined me. After her examination she said she thought it was time for an MRI and she thought I probably had a… herniated disk. She said that I had a classic symptom that was a red flag for herniated disks. When I asked her what that symptom was, I was dumbfounded, because that symptom was my main symptom when I first met with Dr. Ellis. She went back and reviewed the notes and found no notation of that symptom. I was shocked. Surely he would have seen the same thing that his nurse saw! I mean, he's a trained doctor, and that symptom was more severe when he examined me than when she examined me. I feel that he documented the symptoms he wanted and diagnosed me with what benefited him, not me. Once I had my MRI, he referred me straight to a surgeon without even telling me what was going on. I went in to see him anyway, and again, didn't get to see him. My problem was I had two herniated disks with one of them so severe that a piece of the disk had broken off and was traveling down my spinal column. Nothing but surgery can fix that. I could have bypassed all of this time and pain jumping through his hoops if he would have simply ordered an MRI in the first place like I requested. Dr. Ellis always had 'one foot out the door' when he was talking to me. He always seemed rushed to hurry and leave the room. I don't feel he ever really listened to me. He had terrible bedside manners during the procedures and came across as very uncaring. If I were you, I would see someone else in the practice who does the same procedure. I know the procedures can really help some people, but you need a doctor that will truly listen to your problem and determine if that is really the best route for you. I think I was just used as a meal ticket.
