Dr. Ronald John Gould, MD

The most hateful staff I've ever encountered!! I called for an appointment & was told that they do not accept appointments from individuals only thru referrals for another doctor. Additionally they do not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield purchased thru Obamacare because "the deductibles are so high that they never get paid"!

My son suffers from acute gastritis and I while sitting in the ER with another bout of vomiting, I searched the Internet to get him established with a GI, since we recently moved to the St. Louis area. The staff member who answered the phone was rude. I told her I was in" the ER and wanted to get established with a GI and she immediately asked about "what hospital I was in and then abruptly told me we don't service that hospital. Before I could explain anything else, she interrupted rudely again, asking for my insurance. I told her no thank you and hung up. If the staff is rude before I see a doctor, what would be my ongoing relationship with the office. Doctors forget that the bed side manner of those who run their offices makes a difference too.

I've had two colonoscopy's done by Dr. Gould. Second one even better than the first. Maybe due to Gateway Regional's upgrading of their facilities. Both found polyps and both times removed with no complications. I'm highly satisfied with Dr. Gould.
