Dr. Ronald K Hsu, MD

Dr. Hsu gives Excellent Care. Will return to see Dr. Hsu! The staff at Sutter Roseville is also kind and caring.

I've had multiple colonoscopies from Dr. Hse and each has gone smoothly. He is compassionate and attentive during all appointments. We go back a few decades, too.

Considering what you are there for, it's not that bad. The prep is another story!

I have had Ulcerative Colitis since 1997. Due to moving or MDs changing affiliations, I have had 5 GI doctors. Luckily, all have been very good doctors. Dr Hsu is my most recent doctor and I travel 45 minutes to see him because of his reputation, patient-doctor manner, and the time he spends with me answering my questions. I know the nurses that work with him in endoscopy and he is a very good at what he does. This is important since there are risks to colonoscopy, EGD, etc...He has stayed on top of current research and worked in the UCD system. I trust his judgement and technical skills. The only problem that I have is his assistant and scheduler. She doesn't call back in a timely manner and she isn't the nicest person you want to talk to. Her unprofessional behavior will not stop me from seeing Dr. Hsu and I can be as persistent as I need to, to get what I need for my health.

Dr Hsu is very caring. He has been treating my Crohn's disease for 5+ years now. His assistant can be difficult to get a hold of. I don't like having to make my appointment only with her. We will play phone tag. I thought she was rude in the beginning but she has softened over the years and now can be very helpful. Dr Hsu is very good at what he does and is one of the top doctors in his field. He lectures a lot and all the nurses in the endoscopy center love him.

There's not much they can do at this office unless you're already diagnosed with your problem. No, follow up at all. His PA will never call you back if you leave a message. I have to leave 2 meassages before she'll call me back. Then she talks to you like she's constantly annoyed with something. I only talked to Dr. Hsu once and that was at my appointment for 10 minutes. He's very nice but seems to be thinking about the next patient while he's with you. I'm not going to return to his office agian.
