Summary
I'm a transplant to the Flathead Valley - my family and I moved to Kalispell in 2008 and have been loving it ever since. I grew up mostly in San Jose, California with a couple of overseas stints in Germany and Cyprus when I was a kid. I went to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I earned a degree in engineering, but more importantly, that's where I met my beautiful and talented wife, Lynette.
After graduating from BYU, I worked as an engineer for Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. We lived in Wichita for 11 years, where all four of our children were born.
From Wichita, we moved to Richmond, Virginia to work for Hamilton Beach. A few years after moving to Richmond, I decided on a career change, quit my job, and started dental school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry on the day I turned 40. I believe dental health is an important part of …a happy, healthy life and it has tremendous potential to improve and change lives. It is really rewarding to help nervous, anxious patients get comfortable with receiving dental care.
Advances in dental care require constant learning and education. Several times each year I participate in continuing education courses to assure that the most up-to-date materials and methods are available to my patients. I'm an active member of the 1st district dental society (a component of the Montana Dental Association) here in the valley. I'm also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, and the Academy of LDS Dentists.
I enjoy getting outdoors with my family to hike, camp, fish, and go mountain bike riding. I serve on the board of directors for the Kalispell Ski Club and help with ski instruction every Saturday during the season. I'm also active in my church where I'm currently serving as the president of the Sunday school organization.
