Dr. Ronald Alan Katz, MD

Dr. Katz is a good listener and is very flexible in his approach to treating skin conditions. We've been highly successful in managing my symptoms which is more than I can say for the previous dermatologists I've seen in other practices.

I have gotten topical treatments. Treatments by pill. STill nothing is working.

I have been a patient of Dr. Katz for a number of years. He has treated me for a number of conditions, not the least of which was basal cell carcinoma. All conditions were successfully treated. Dr. Katz was featured in two issues of the Washingtonian magazine as the dermatologist other other physicians would refer family members.

Dr. Katz is one of the better docs I've seen in a long time. Even as a new patient I did not have to wait long to be seen (very important because I had my 19 month old son with me), and once taken to one of the patient rooms Dr. Katz quickly arrived. Granted I went on a Monday, but I was still impressed with how fast I was able to be seen. The staff is friendly and the doctor has a great bedside manner. He is very kind and actually listens to you, and worked with my meager budget, something I greatly appreciatied.

POOR FOLLOW UP WITH MY REFERRING DOCTORS AND NO COMMUNICATIONS WITH MY PCP

He is really a bad doctor, having no clue of what he is doing. He gave me lotion for my skin issue, and asked me how the medicine(actually it is lotion) works for my skin issue. He is nice person, but not a good doctor at all.

The procedure I had done was tooth #17-partically impacted wisdom tooth (my last one!). As soon as I made the phone call for a consultation, the office staff was curtious, willing to assist me and called right away for my pre-approval consulation with my insurance. The cost was 300.00 which included the "laughing gas." Dr. Katz's assistant put Pandora on, she was very sweet. The facility was very impressive, like walking into a spa. Dr. Katz's mannerism was the BEST. As soon as he met me, he shook my hand, explained in detail the procedure with me and gave me comfort that my pain will go away. The gal came and explained the cost, was very sweet. I only waited less than 30 minutes for the procedure to start. As soon as his assistant put the laughing gas on, I just felt a pinch of the needle but did not feel the procedure at all. Dr. Katz is #1 in this area. Trust me, I had this pain since Monday. Went to see an oral surgen on Tuesday. Did not explain anything, no hand shake, no… conversation. Had the nurse do everything. I decided to leave becasue of that. That is when I found Dr. Katz. I am so glad that it worked out because Dr. Katz is a young oral surgeon who cares about his patients. He called me today. HIM, not his assistants.
