I am 68 yrs old. I have been to see Dr Kirkwood 3 times. I have been hurting on my left side for about a year. He sent me to a gastrologist and I had a EGD, Afterward the gastrologist told my daughter everything look good come back in a month. I am still having severe pain and my ankles and legs are swollen. I went into day and he had some lady training I guess she came in first and I told her I was still having pain and my ankles were swollen. She ask me if I wanted to see another gastrologist and I said I needed to find out why I am still having pain and why I am having swelling. She goes out he comes in wving his arms telling me I need to find another Dr???? what ?? he said I am going to this Dr and that Dr then he tells me your not gonna like this but you need to see a phyciatrist? I was in complete shock where was all this coming from on my 3rd visit, My insurance requires me to go through him for refferals. He can't lie I recorded the whole conversation. I am repting his behavior… to the medical board along with the recording,

Went in for my exam med 3. Really easy and quick to schedule. Didn't have to wait long at all. The physical was cheaper than other places in Houston, just $75.

Dr. Ronald Kirkwood is rude and egotistical. He does not care about the symptoms and is not empathetic. Overall a horrible experience. We will not be returning.

This doctor is nice enough. But he smiles as you tell him whats wrong with you and does not seem to take you seriously. He also does not want to prescribe medications that are not even narcotics to you to help you. Doesn't have much empathy for you and your ailments. Everything is a joke to him and he practices as if he is reciting a skit. Then he makes a hurried exit to the door. You never feel like he really ever listened to you or took what s wrong with you or what you said seriously.

Saw doctor within 15 minutes of appointment time.

I was referred to Dr Ron when my longtime Doctor retired. It is always hard to change physicians. Dr Ron and staff made the switch easy. The office is close to work and the early hours are very convenient for me, allowing me to get in and out without being late to work. He listens to me and doesn't treat me like I don't know my own body. I appreciate that. His staff are amazing! I highly recommend Kirkwood Medical and specifically Dr. Ron to anyone looking for a family physician.
