Dr. Ronald Jay Koenig, MD

Dr. Ronald Koenig is an exceptional doctor. I have never had a doctor spending so much time and looking into all scientific possibilities, to insure that the given diagnostic is correct. He respects pacients as no othe doctor I have seen in my lifetime. He chcks every single test, performing most of the tests by himself. My appreciation for his profesionalism and etics do not have borders! Dr. Koenig, I am so thankful to have had the honor to be seen by you. Knowing that you are there for me when I need your input, gives me so much life confidence! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I became a patient of Dr. Koenig in 2012 after getting a thyroid cancer diagnosis. He explained my condition and what to expect before and after my thyroidectomy surgery. Initially I was apprehensive but Dr. Koenig's knowledge and experience and his calm and caring demeanor made the whole experience much better than I might have imagined. Occasionally I've emailed him and he is very quick to reply. I'm so grateful that I got him for my doctor. I travel from Lansing to see him, but I would travel a lot further to have him if I had to.

I have been a patient of Dr. Koenig since 2010. I have seen him for a large thyroid growth which he has, biopsied, followed and advised me about. He spent considerable time with me and answered all of my questions. He also promptly responded to additional follow up questions I sent via email. His concern and attentiveness are very rare in my experience. He is very approachable and also very knowledgeable. I feel very blessed to have him as one of my physicians and I pray he will be able to sustain his level of kind and attentive care and that he will remain healthy and able to serve patients for many years yet.

Dr. Koenig is smart, personable, attentive, and accessible. He takes time to answer all our questions and is readily available for questions outside of office visits via email. I highly recommend him.

Ronald Koenig is a very talented, knowledgeable doctor, but his bedside manner and social skills are absolutely horrible!He almost never makes eye contact, has difficulty functioning in basic conversation and is very unaccommodating. With my last doctor I was used to having labs done so many times a year which he told me would be okay, and then after a few years blunty decides to change the protocol without any explanation. If he wasn't the director and a U of M doctor I'd go elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Koenig for a second opinion. He was prepared for me in advance, having read through all my records the night before. He spent 45 minutes discussing my case with me, answered all my questions and was open and direct with his recommendations. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Koenig and trusted his knowledge and experience. I received a letter with his recommendations in less than a week following my appointment. A copy was also sent to my GP and Endocrinologist. Dr. Koenig also encouraged me to email him with any questions I might have following my consultation

I am very impressed with Dr. Koenig. I was his patient for thyroid trouble. He accurately determined that I had a rare form of thyroid disease, and cured it by simple, but effective treatment.He is very friendly, courteous and highly knowledgeable. An expert with humility.
