A complete POS. Fined $25,009 for writing illegal prescriptions when he should have done 25 years. Complete and total disaster.

when a dr takes his personal call in front of you for 15min and just ignores you even being there.when I walked out in front of him,he then apologized.i will be going to another dr in the future,not this dr.i felt worse leaveing then when I went in,,,and for his secretary who stated to me that the dr needed to talk to his insurance agent because of that importance was really bad.i will never go back to him again.

I first saw Dr Kurlander in the end of 1994 into 1995. I found him to be a caring and nice person. Originally saw him at Coral Ridge where I was in a 30 day outpatient program where he would diagnose what condition I was suffering from. Major depression and panic disorder. I've have had earlier periods in my life where I went through the same problem. The first time was weeks after my father died in front of me when he suffered a heart attack. It was time to get me off my current antidepressant and put me on a new one. I saw him a few time after that at his office at North Broward and he helped me through a hard time. I guess this is a blast from the past!

He evaluates your condition & is very patient (never rushes you). He will prescribe the best medication based on your symptoms and if he doesn't feel you are being helped enough he will try something different. I went through 10 different meds and finally found the perfect one! And I love that Westie!!

Quoted 150 $ on phone. On arrival was asked for 300$, then settled for 200$. Spent exactly 30 mins. Extremely disappointed with this Dr. who seems to have very little compassion .

I love Dr. Kurlander's approach to mental illness and individual needs of his patients. He has always been available to see me or call me on the phone if necessary.

He is kind and compassionate. Im blessed to have him as my physician. He takes his time he actually listens..rare in this world.

I Agree the office is a dump. I overheard the secretaries talking instead of attending to me about how his lunches sponsored by drug companies have to be more than 10.00. a person. I forgot my appointment, but was told it is not the secretaries job to cal me or remind me. I saw dog food all over and he asked one of his patients to walk it. I felt like I was in a dirty restaurant. He was nice enough, told me I have anxiety and gave me a mood stabilizer sample. I was so upset because the samples were expired and after visiting 4 psychiatrists after, found out all I needed was an anti-depressant. He did not take my insurance, the secretaries said it does not pay for him. So sad that the experience was disappointing. I called and asked if I can have a follow up and he put me with a physician assistant who only talked about herself and said she really works medical but now does psych?

One star only because I had to - none in reality. His response to my mother's condition is "well she has to take her meds". No - really - how insightful. Literally hung up on me as I was asking for advice on to how best proceed with my mother during a bad decline in her mental health. Save your money with this self absorbed and un-ethical MD.
