Dr Ronald Light

He needs to have his medical license removed! Took my son who who hurt his back during a game. He asked him questions (very arrogant while doing so) then gave him x-rays and sent him for a MRI and told him no sports for time being. Got very bad vibes by the questions he was asking and his inability to even answer mine. while in the waiting room, waiting for the prescription I told my son we are not coming back here. We are doing the MRI and going somewhere else. Not to mention what poor customer service the office is. Over the phone, he told gave me the MRI results and stated he had a hairline fracture of his peticule and he should not be doing any sports for 3 weeks and to go back for follow-up after that. after 4 weeks I decided to give him a second chance (very bad idea), but I decided to send my husband (without giving him my opinion of him) just to make sure i was not overreacting. Well after seeing him my husband response to me was "where on earth did you find him he… shouldn't even be wearing a white coat because i don't even think he's a doctor"! He saw my son, x-ray him again, (my son had to show him how to work his own computer) and when my husband asked but does he really have a hairline fracture he couldn't answer him despite the fact that he had the MRI right in front of him, he then stuttered, and then told him he was sending my son right away to a specialist so he can have a custom bust made to wear. My husband said how can this other doctor make up a custom bust for him without even seeing him! He just siad that how we do things. i researched the MRI myself and had a physical therapist read it and determined he had inflammation. after a week on being on inflammatory medication, he is now doing better!!!!

Performed 2 carpal tunnel release surgeries on my hands. and both were done successfully! I no longer experience pain, tingling or numbness in my hands!

I was in the ER yesterday at Long Island Jewish Hospital and I thought since I was there for bleeding of the uterus that I could also see Dr. Ronald Light per se. I have severe sever pain in my left hip from what I do not know, I called Light's office at about 9:30 - 10:00 in the morning to let him know I would be in the emergency room at LIJ It might be a good thing to look at my left hip again, It keeps popping out. yesterday four or five times. Well, Dr. Light now I am having surgery for some cysts on my ovaries. And I have to put you on hold. What can I say? I can only have one operation at a time and I have to follow up today Friday the 10th of May to make arrangements with a Gynecologist for this constant bleeding of the uterus. Yeah, I know that is not your territory but I was clear to the young lady that took my message that I must speak to Dr. Light today. Well, that did not work. Obviously the young lady who took the message was brain dead and did not… leave the message with you. Sorry to insult your staff but this sucks. Excuse my language. Sincerely Roseann Groen

Arrogant

The most caring, skilled surgeon...two operations, both flawless!

i went to dr light for a ime examination requeted by rmpg for my worker compensation case , I arrived at appointment he was totally overbooked , I went into exam room he had a female nurse with him he asked me to stand up and bend over I could not bend over far he said stand still and he moved my arms to left and right asked me if I took my pain medicine before I came to appointment I said yes he said hes seen enough and said exam was over , just got his report he states that I said I did not take my medicine before exam which is incorrect also he says he peformed all these tests on me which he did not . I would not recommend seeing him for anything unless its a report for a company like rmpg which is a extremely bad company to begin with so I would say stay away

I would not go again. I felt like crying when I left. I heard him making fun of me down the hall to a x-Ray tech. He wasn't professional at all and has no manners.

I had a complete knee replacement almost 7 years ago by Dr. Light. I felt comfortable from the 1st time I met him. He did an amazing job! Having the knee replacement was the best thing I could have done. The surgery went well. Staff from the hospital to the rehab facility could not believe how clean my scar was. It was perfectly even and no infections. I can't believe the negative comments i'm seeing. He treated me with respect and listened to my concerns. This was the best decision I ever made. 7 years later, and I'm doing extremely well. I will go back to him in a heartbeat.

Amazingly arrogant, condescending. Asked for his help. He could only quip and amuse himself. Didn't return call for more than 24 hours...twice. Would not answer direct questions with anything other than snark. Not sure he even new or cared about my symptoms. Staff was equally disinterrested. Pathetic.

My family has used Dr. Light when needed for more than 20 years. I am celebrating the 3rd anniversary of my new hip which Dr. Light expertly installed. I have found his staff supportive and courteous. Dr. Light has a great sense of humor but always showed great concern for whatever discomfort I reported. He has followed up regularly and collaborated with the physical therapist on sight when necessary. I thoroughly recommend him.
