Dr is a nice personably doctor with a good bedside manner ! My breast are symmetrical and perfect size for my frame But, he doesn't treat your pain I was sent home with 3 days worth of pain medicine which would of sufficed under normal circumstances but, I developed complications: infection, fat necrosis, and delayed wound healing. 4 weeks later still have oozing open wounds swollen armpits still sleeping sitting up (4 hours avg nightly) can't control blood pressure due to pain level . He does get you in when you call. But I called after just being in his office and came home and a large amount of drainage left another gap in my breast and he didn't return my call . Does a great job as far size symmetries is kind but not sympathetic so if your a tough cookie he's your man to do the job

I can't say enough good things about this man and the staff who work with him. In 1995, I finally decided to have my right breast reconstructed. As an infant, I had been diagnosed with multiple neuroblastoma entwined in my right rib cage. After surgery (which removed quite a bit of tissue from both the front of my chest and my shoulder blade), chemo, and 18 radiation treatments, I survived. When puberty came along, we realized that the right breast tissue would never develop. Because my parents lacked the necessary finances and healthcare benefits, I had to wait until I was an adult with my own healthcare benefits to begin the process of rebuilding my body. At 27 I went to see Dr. Luethke. He spoke to me and pondered my situation. I knew he was the surgeon for me when it took three office visits before he would agree to take my case. Our original plan of action included three surgeries to get where we needed to go. But, the minute he made that first incision, we… immediately jumped to five surgeries. He was with me all the way. He was willing to try new approaches (as well as some of the old tried and true) to get the result we wanted. Two years and six surgeries later, I was able to be comfortable being in public in a bathing suit for the first time since I was in grade school. He has a great sense of humor and he made me so comfortable before each surgery when he would be drawing his lines and making his surgical notes on my body. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. That was almost 18 yrs ago now. I've even moved to another state, but I still go back to him for my yearly check-ups.
