Dr. Ron Mamrick is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. An excellent golfer, he attended Kent State University on a golf scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1993 earning his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. He then achieved a Master Degree in Physical Chemistry from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Influenced by his uncle, the late Dr. Clyde Horstmann, he attended dental school at the Medical College of Virginia where he graduated with honors with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He was then accepted in the prestigious Advanced Dental Residency at UNC-Chapel Hill. During his residency he learned many of the advanced techniques in all dental specialties including implantology.
Dr. Mamrick worked in private practice with Dr. Ret Turner in Charlotte, NC, from July 2001 until May 2004. In 2004, Dr. Mamrick and his wife, Karin, moved back to Richmond where he worked for Dr. Steve Tuttle in Midlothian from June 2004 until January 2007 and then for Dr. Gregory …Gay in Chesterfield from 2007 until opening his own dental practice in Midlothian in March 2009.
Dr. Mamrick also enjoys giving back to the community. He has donated his services at Give Kids A Smile Day here in Richmond and has also spent time donating his dental services at the Cherokee Indian reservation in North Carolina, Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Wise County, VA. While in Charlotte, Dr Mamrick also worked with A Child's Place, an organization caring for underprivileged children, by donating his dental services. He has also worked on numerous Habitat for Humanity houses and in 2007 he participated in a mission trip to Pascagoula, Mississippi where he helped repair homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
Dr. Mamrick is an active member of Grace Bible Church in Midlothian, VA where he serves as a member of the Missions Leadership Team, teaching coordinator and teacher for the 7&8 year-old Bible Class, and assists with the maintenance of the church property.
Dr. Mamrick is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Richmond Dental Society. He actively participates in the Commonwealth Oral and Facial Surgery Study Club and the Titanium Study Club. He also has the privilege of serving as a delegate to the Governance Meeting of the Virginia Dental Association until 2011.
