Absolutely AMAZING surgeon and such a kind person. I was suffering for so many years before finding Dr Mathiasen. He did such a great job on my sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty. This is the surgeon you want to see if you need sinus surgery!

I was very unhappy with my surgery performed by him and very unhappy with his aftercare or lack of.

Waited 40 minutes to see this Dr. He spent maybe less than five minutes talking to me and check on my concerns. Didn't even offer to do test for further assessment on my concern. I open my medical record and found out that he charted that he spent about 30 minutes with me and mostly counseling and even offered a procedure to be done that I refused which is a total lie. How can you trust a Dr like this. This is a total fraud.

Very skilled surgeon who is up on the latest technology. He always tries non-surgical "conservative" therapy first before recommending surgery. He is very friendly and caring. I highly recommend Dr Mathiasen!

The time spent in the office exceeded 5 hours. The actual time spent with the patient was less than 1 hour. I would not rate this doctor very high. My Mother is an elderly patient who needed an in office surgery. The doctor saw 1- other patients while my mom waited off and on to complete the surgery. I felt it was very difficult for an elderly person to be put through this.

Based on the PA's recommendation, that I "see the surgeon aka Dr. Ronald A Mathiasen" for "structural anatomy concerns" regarding a sinus infection I had for 6 months, I just got a bill for $516 (that's after the insurance adjustment) and I spent no more than 10 minutes w/ the Surgeon who told me that I "could" have surgery if I wanted to and that it "might" help my sinus issue that he spent 1 out of 10 minutes actually addressing - never did actually tell me what was wrong. The other 9 minutes was him trying to "sell" me on the amazing advancements of this sinus surgery that I "might" need and that "might" help. Are you kidding me?? I had a 6 month long sinus infection, went through 4 rounds of antibiotics, nasal steroids, swab tests, and finally a CT scan...and this sounded more like cosmetic plastic surgery consultation!! I told the PA that, unless life threatening, surgery was not an option because of my high out of pocket expenses. And he knew I didn't "need" to see the… surgeon but here's EXACTLY what is going on there:1. PA makes recommendation to see surgeon.2. Surgeon tries to "close" a surgery deal as fast as possible. The moment he finds out the patient doesn't want the surgery, he leaves promptly.3. The process repeats until surgeon is booked with nose jobs but at the very least he's making $632 dollars (actual bill before insurance adjustment)for a 10 minute pitch on his surgery.AND WE WONDER WHY HEALTHCARE COSTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL!! By the way - I had already spent nearly $2000 up to this point trying to treat/diagnose this issue that the surgeon could really care less about, which of course should be the only thing our "medical" scammers... I mean medical practitioners should care about.

Dr. Mathiasen failed to complete suturing as he stated in his pre-op counsel resulting in a popped stitch that allowed the wound to open and prodiced scaring on a very visible part of my face. Dr. Mathiasen afterwards very casualy stated that scar revision could be completed in 6-12 months (additional surgery) and stated that scar revision was "standard practice". I would not let this doctor operate on my pets much less another human.

Great doctor! Very caring. Great bedside manner. Very competent. Up on the latest technology. Great surgeon
