Dr. Ronald H Mccombs, MD

I was at office for 2hrs. and was the only patient there entire time. They took xrays and Dr.McCombs looked at them 2 different times for over 30minutes. Staff said he is very detailed and likes to "stare at the xrays for a long time, that's just his thing". He came in did somewhat of an exam of my tooth in question and then returned to look at the xrays again. He never brought the xrays in an put up on wall for me to see. After waiting for 2hrs. he came in to tell me he wasn't sure if the tooth was abscessed and sometimes you just never know about this or other things in life. He didn't do any hot, cold or pressure tests on the tooth either. He rambled on about things that didn't pertain to me or my tooth and half the time didn't make any sense. I have had 5 teeth pulled and out the door quicker than this apt. was just looking at 1 tooth. No one in waiting room, no one in any other exam rooms as I looked. You can tell staff don't like there jobs and made comments about "it's… crazy the way he does things" "the Dr. likes to stare at the xrays". Something is very wrong here and I would pull my own tooth before returning.

first of all to expense just to pull a tooth, when i was there they told me my bill after insurance would be 1100 dollars did not even tell me there was a alternate, until i told them i could not afford it, had to spend extra money to go to the coumadin clinic 3 times felt like they where not happy that i was not spending big bucks also took over 3 weeks to have tooth pulled that was infected guess they didn't care i was in pain, would not give me pain pills had to go to my dentist and they wonder why i didn't get the medication from them being he was my dentist they sent me too. Will never recommend and will never go back and am not going to follow up also he made me feel i was just a old lady with a attitude and only cared about the big bucks, they didn't even call to see how i was doing being iwas really in pain.

Over a month to get a standard consultation appointment for wisdom teeth removal. Sat in the waiting room for over 45 minutes (only one in there) and was not offered any sort of explanation or apology until I made it clear I was unhappy. Appointment took all of 10 minutes before I was rushed out the door to speak with a bookkeeper about the 5% deposit to hold an appointment for surgery. Made an appointment and paid deposit on a credit card. Called later that day to cancel appointment and get a refund and was told it would take three weeks to get it. Called four weeks later and was told check had been sent out for remainder due to me. They took the amount I had paid as a deposit for surgery date and took out the amount for the 10 minute appointment I had. Finally received check only to find out it wasn't mailed out to me till the day AFTER I called to complain that I hadn't received a refund. I would never recommend this office to anyone in need of an oral surgeon.
