Quite a few concerns that may impact your health. Twice the office lost my medical records and twice I had to resubmit them. Each time I came into the office I saw a new Physician Assistant as the previous PA’s were no longer working there. The office lost track twice as to when I had my previous visit to the office. I am taking medication that doesn’t need to be closely monitored yet the office had me come in every couple of months only to have them ask, “how is everything?”. Fine. “ok, please pay your copay”. But, the final straw was when I needed my prescription renewed this last time. They called and asked what I was taking so they can renew it. What?! My doctor’s office doesn’t know what they are prescribing me?!?! They said they didn’t have a record of it. That scares the heck out of me and should you too. Needless to say, I am now going to another doctor.

My family and I have had Dr McLean as our primary physician for over a decade. He and his staff have been courteous and responsive to our needs. Dr McLean has accurately diagnosed a variety of our medical problems and has led us to appropriate specialists as needed. He schedules enough time for office visits to allow for a thorough discussion of symptoms.

Receptionist is rude and non-caring. I have seen her put someone on hold while she continued a personal conversation with a vendor. Also, when she unlocks the door at 1:30 p.m., she just unlocks it and walks back to her desk even though you can see the people through the glass waiting outside the door. She could be replaced and office would improve.

Dr. McLean himself is nice enough, though he rarely seems to be around. Sometimes I feel like he is too quick to write a prescription to abate symptoms rather than search for the deeper cause.The biggest thing is that I feel he is kinda greedy. A recent policy change says that only one procedure can ever be done at a time. So when I needed a mole removed, and also needed to have a follow up appt. about some blood work, I can't do them at the same visit. I have to schedule two separate visits. Is this typical? Because I only get 4 visits a year on my insurance, and having to do this uses up nearly all of them to address one problem.Also, the others in the office are super nice and caring, but the receptionist is kinda rude and impatient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mclean for a number of years. He is a caring professional that takes the time to care and diagnose. There is a time for specialists but if you need a GP this guy is great.
