Dr. Ronald Wayne Pelton, MD

This review is based upon Dr. Pelton's professionalism; not on his care. Dr. Pelton returned a phone call when he wasn't on call, and then, a few hours later, called again to find out how I was, and even consulted with the ER doctor. I was impressed that Dr. Pelton called the second time. I had a medical eye emergency. When my husband called my eye doctor (Friday, after hours), he got a recording to press 1 for an emergency and was routed to a Davita call center. Davita gave my husband Dr. Pelton's phone number because they had him listed as the on-call doctor. It turns out that Dr. Pelton was out of state and was not the doctor on call. However, he returned my husband's phone call, and a few hours later, called again to check up on me. The doctor who WAS on call, never called us back. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pelton based on the fact that I think he cares about people, even when they aren't his patients. I just might have to switch eye doctors!

I was referred to Dr. Pelton from Dr. Tanabe. I was nervous about going to Dr. Pelton because of the reviews on this website. However, I trusted Dr. Tanabe's referral. Very glad I did so. First, the from office atmosphere is very welcoming, like a living room. The front receptionist put me right at ease with a personal story about her positive experience with Dr. Pelton. All the staff I encountered were very professional and kind. Second, when I went into the back office both Dr. Pelton and his assistant explained their processes to me ask they performed them. Dr. Pelton had a gentle hand in giving me numbing injections and explained to me as he was giving me the injections. He also explained the healing process and everything has been spot on for the minor surgery performed to remove growth on my eyelid. Dr. Pelton is a skilled, professional, talented doctor. I appreciate Dr. Pelton's work. Thank you Dr. Pelton and staff. Mrs. Fishel

I ended up with one eye open more than the other. 10 years later my eyes still don't completely close. Wanted money under that table for part of the procedure. That's unprofessional.

Dr. Pelton and his staff were AMAZING! He had to cut out pieces of my upper eyelid and lower eye skin in very visible and sensitive areas. Could have been a disaster bit he was so kind and took the time to chat and did a phenomenal job. No pain during the procedure and it healed beautifully where you can't even see where the cuts were! His stitches were so tiny and delicate you could hardly see the actual stiches when he was done! I will definitely go back if I need anything again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good surgeon/doc.

I was referred to Dr. Pelton and I am so disappointed in the entire experience. When I scheduled the appointment for 1pm I told them that I had to leave by 2:30pm and asked if that would be a big deal. They said not as long as I completed the online paperwork and arrived early to my appointment, which I did both of those. I wasn’t brought back until 1:30 and didn’t see the Dr. until close to 1:50. The procedure I decided to do would only take 5 minutes however at 2pm a woman came in to tell me I needed preauthorization from the insurance company before they could do anything and they had no idea how long that would take. She was so rude and unprofessional. I was starting to get irritated because my appointment was at 1pm and now it’s past 2pm and I may have to reshedule. She left to call the insurance and in the meantime the Dr. came back and in so many words basically scolded me for getting upset. I honestly felt like a little kid that was in trouble. He was rude and totally arrogant… like his time is the only thing that matters. The procedure was only 5 minutes and the total time I was there was 1 hour and 40min. It turns out that the preauthorization wasn’t even required and was a total waste of time. I’m only giving one star because I can’t give a zero. I have never done a review before but I hope this helps preventing anyone else having this experience.

I have never been to a doctor that treated me the way he did Dr. Pilton was pompous rude I was wasting his time. Frankly it was a waste of my time. After going over the review of my health issues one of them listed with PTSD. He asked me why I had PSTD? This really was none of his business and had no concern to do with my eye whatsoever. I found out a day before when I got a referral from the ER to this doctor that he's the same doctor that screwed up my dad eye surgery! so poorly. But I was referred to him so I went and I had a bad feeling about it and my gut instinct said it was going to turn out bad and it did. He Took three photos of me one where he sit back against the wall way far away from me and then halfway and then up close without any explanation as to why he took a photo of me made me feel very uncomfortable. So Dr. Pelton take a lesson in kindness and good bedside manner because you do not have it. I urged everybody to read reviews before even thinking about going to… him. Also the lady upfront took my drivers license and my medical card to make a copy after I saw the doctor I said "I need my cards back and she goes you'll get it when you finish your paperwork" very rudely so I think they're all unhappy where they work maybe it's time to close shop !!!!! Oh I forgot, nurse came in and pointed to something on my paperwork I started . She told Dr. This is very interesting! I'd like to know what was! The fact I have PTSD? Or the fact I have the same last just name as my daddy who really got screwed up from his shotty work! Never going back so you don't have to worry!!! You even told me I should t have come to you! Lol the smartest thing you said! Aren't there any zeros?

Zero Stars was not a choice. I would give NO Stars, Dr Pelton was rude and arrogant every time I had to speak with him. We were referred to Mr Pelton for surgery after skin cancer removal which left a hole requiring a skin graft to cover. After complications and speaking with his nurse we went to our eye doctor. The nurse wanted an update on what the doc said so I called to let her know and Mr Pelton picked up the phone. He brow beat me for what felt like forever telling me the eye doc didn't know what he was talking about and that he cannot see the future weather things will or are healing properly and how he has no idea if we are following his instructions printed on both sides of the paper. He spoke of everything except the problem at hand. Uncaring Unconcerned about my husbands eye sight after a skin graft that should have had nothing to do with his vision.I did advise the referring Doc of the treatment we received. Arrogant and Rude. But he sure had his hand out for his check,… while in his scrubs going in to do surgery. Maybe he thinks he wont get paid after treating patients and family members the way he does. We will find someone else to take of our needs. I recommend everyone else do the same.

I can't say enough good things about this entire experience. From Dr. Peloton and his staff to the surgical group, it was smooth, efficient and everyone was so pleasant. What a pleasure!

Dr. Pelton is one of the most arrogant individuals I have ever met! I asked him a question and he told me to "google" it instead of giving me the answer. On top of that the man had the worst breath ever! The office manager, like her boss is very rude. Avoid this practice!

I thought he was arrogant and not at all concerned about my problem even though I was referred to him by two other doctors. The appointment was a complete waste of my time and money.
