Dr. Ronald Rabinowitz, MD

When I was thirteen years of, Dr. Rabinowitz was fully aware of my urine spilling blood and protein which indicates.. Kidney issues. He told my mother it was " normal for me" and waved the issue. He never bothered to refer me to a nephrologist. Because of this neglect, my kidneys failed at the wonderful age of 27. I forgot to mention that when I was 13. It was 1982. But I know for certain that urologists were taught that blood and protein in " anyone's" urine is not a good sign. However; I have been undergoing dialysis since jan 1999 for 17 years now, with one failed kidney transplant in 2001. I am now currently 44 years of age and never had a chance at a normal life. All of the normal things that able bodied, healthy middle-aged people experience was stripped'/robbed from me. I could never pursue a career. I wanted to be a journalist. I love to write. I just wanted to know one question. Why??? Why didn't dr Rabinowitz refer me to a nephrologist? I need closure on this. Please.
